Well we have more than one frame per 5 seconds and that last minute has some geniunely Good animation although wtf was that loony toon landing by ripper.

The emphasis on Fubuki's ****, like almost every shot with her. Jeez give her back some rest.

Wonder what are the chances of us getting a different studio or at least becoming a priority project for Cosmic Garou x Saitama in S5.

That's the part of the intro and looks sick. There is a lot worse with the actual episodes.

While ep2 had more movement and the art looks good in stills, I noticed that quality quickly falls apart with any shot that isn't 1:1 with the manga. Almost like they are tracing the manga panel.

While it works the art direction is great. But it's still hella inconsistent with a lot of time characters being off model or whack proportions.

The only good animation in the season up until now was done by Aoki and it's most likely that he will have to carry the action.

And even then I was just okay by Aoki standards. Just goes to show how muffed the production is.

The reason it is so memed is because people are bothered by it. Although in terms of being the highlight "bad" moment of the episode, it's really overplayed.

especially when this exists

This whole OPM situation has made me realize something. Generally people are way more lenient with bad 2D animation than they are with any other form of media entertainment. Sure we have people trolling the show but a whole lot more defenders too, pro. Compare that to anything else.

Bad acting ? You will get eaten alive. Bad direction in a movie/series ? Balls cut off (looking at you Todd Phillips), Bad stunt work and choreo ? Cooked, you will get called a 90's low bubget movie and the 3D counterpart tsk tsk tsk oh boy.

You make excellent VFX and CGI, no will even notice your work, you work's ultimate goal is to make it invisible. Bad CGI however, public execution. And unlike 2D animation which is praised as a artform, you get a spit on the mouth by the actors and direction who claim it was all practical while being repeat customers (ahem ahem Nolan and Dneg) No defenders here, instead the general public will shit on you and call practical effects better even if said practical effects require heavy cg to look real.

It's weirdly baffling.
