I would suggest Kirby for Platformers, I mean Kirby is pretty freaking busted myself. That and Paper Mario is primarily an RPG series, so I can't really suggest that.
Not sure why Call of Duty was suggested; I'm pretty sure that Hierophant from House of the Dead 2 is more powerful than the average WWII soldiers.

Was thinking some genres to be added could be RTS (real-time strategy) game characters and Soulslike characters (if said characters don't already fall into the action RPG category). Was also considering "strongest protagonists" or "strongest playable characters", though might also go against the idea of it being about genre's so just a maybe.

NGE would fit for the mechas, with Adam/Lilith as both are Seeds of Life, God Eva Unit 01 also fits here with its feat of killing the Lilith+Rei fusion.

I forgor, I'm not too familiar with all the verses involved on the wiki so people with more extensive knowledge have me beat.
