Has anyone seen the old(ish) Sci Fi series, Stargate? It's one of those TV shows that are a predecessor of all of Sci Fi's modern shows, games, etc, with it's effects being felt in every genre from things like Gundam to Star Wars.
The main baddie, Anubis, is a energy wielder capable of affecting alternative dimensions and timelines, and IIRC was said to "consume all energy in the Galaxy", but don't quote me on that one, as it's been a long time. (That was stated by his brother, Ra).
