also the idea that Spideys quips are all instinctive is pretty funny
 
Oh yeah. And a pretty cool skill feat is how Spidey could defeat Puma, a skilled martial artist stated to have heightened senses on the level of Peter himself

Well, it’s more so “because Peter doesn’t have to focus entirely on dodging, he can use that time to come up with quips”. Still, it’s funny
 
Ultimate Spider-Man isn't the greatest show but i still remember it quite fondly because it's the spidey show i grew up with (except for some dvd's of the 90's cartoon i had)
It might have also helped i was watching a dub so i didn't have to put up with drake bell

It was at its best when it was focused on the crossover stuff with other Marvel heroes TBH

The 2017 cartoon is easily the worst cartoon adaptation of Spider-Man IMO
 
Admittedly i've only watched like an episode or two so i can't really say much about it
that being said it's mad ugly

It had Carnage Thanos in a really lazy Spider-Man/Guardians of the Galaxy crossover that relied waaaay too much on symbiotes (something the cartoon does in general)

That’s gotta be a textbook example of “he tryna gas it up 💀”

This reminds me how other marvel shows that were in the same universe as Ultimate Spider-Man (Avengers Assemble and the Guardians show) straight up jumped over to be with Marvel's Spider-Man instead, poor show got abandoned 😭

Problems with Ultimate Spider-Man (XD): Man these fourth wall breaks are really annoying
