What I said above still stands unless you have new arguments to convince me. I have no wish to repeat myself over and over here. My apologies. 🙏

It isn't supported by the source material that Spider-Man suddenly canonically has similar powers to the Hulk and can increase his powers by thousands of times. This is just a rationalisation for that the handbooks are blatantly inaccurate. That is all.

My apologies, but I do not have the available time to argue further about this, as I am extremely overworked and distracted.

I have reached a conclusion here, and think that we should close this thread. 🙏
Scaling to Carnage with the stress factor (the OP's proposal) would only be a 1.79x increase from his base statistics, since Large Building level+ characters only scale to 7.98 Tons. It would only increase his power by thousands of times if we scaled him to Hulk or Firelord, but that is not the proposal and obviously isn't ever being accepted.

@Sir_Ovens @ByAsura @Emirp sumitpo @LordTracer Opinions on this? I don't think the proposal is that major of a change.

Ant, I think you're conflating the stress factor proposed by the OP and Spider-Man just holding back. He's  not 9-B normally. He just holds back so 9-Bs don't get splattered by him. We've seen that whenever he actually tries, he completely overpowers characters like Kingpin. Stress factor in this instance, is him being pushed beyond his normal limits to fight characters out of his weight class. Mind you the weight class being mentioned here is as Maverick says, Carnage level, which is barely an AP increase. This is also true when you consider that Carnage is a part of Peter's rogues gallery; he's expected to throw hands with him. Having a canonical AP amp isn't out of the ordinary when you consider all these things.

Okay. My apologies for misunderstanding then. I suppose that seems much more reasonable than what I thought was being suggested here. 🙏

So "High 8-C, higher with stress-factor" then?

Okay. I suppose that can likely be applied then. 🙏
