Some question about Japanese statements. (Mainly about Universe-busting)

Hopefully this doesn't turn to a long discussion. But anyway, here's my question:

I noticed that in either Anime or Tokusatsu, they have varying terms for destruction.

And they're either:

µ╗àÒü│Òéï/horobiru

µÂêµ╗à/shoumetsu.

Now, the real question, is it something that should be acknowledged? Would the difference in the kanji affect the context of the statement?

Horobiru can mean "destroy", "vanquish", "perish", etc.

Shōmetsu can mean "extinction", "annihilation", "extermination", etc.

This doesn't affect universe busting. Destroying, vanquishing, or annihilating the universe is practically the same thing.

...Yeah... I'd expected as much. But anyway, thanks for answering. I see no further use for this thread, so I guess you can close this now. Again, thank you.
