That's actually the reason why I didn't equalize speed. I figured that since Shovel Knight has superior Speed but weak offense and no 1 shot moves it would be fair to match him against Chai who has superior AP/Durability but low speed. With that said, I believe that they are capable of countering each others advantages. Shovel knight can use Intangibility and his 10 second Invulnerability to deal with Chai's AP advantage while using his Dust Knuckles, War Horn, Charge attack to deal with his Durability advantage. Meanwhile Chai can use his Precognition, Danmaku, and AOE shockwaves to deal with Shovel Knight's speed advantage and use his Healing to last longer

Both of those gaps are stomp-worthy, Chai can't even see Shovel Knight move and Shovel Knight can't really even scratch Chai.

So you're saying that none of the things that I mentioned will help either one overcome the other's advantage?
