Actually we don't know how long shadow can actually freeze time because we never see it or it isn't told to us. And shadow can spam time stop if need be, also shadow has attacks that can bypass durability and bfr meta knight outside space and time which in both cases meta knight loses.
 
That's gameplay mechanics just to balance out the battle mode as all of the characters moves only last 10 seconds.
 
@Arceus Not exactly the best reasoning there, him surviving 4-A attacks isn't impressive reasoning to assume Shadow can't hurt him. Along with that, Time Stop is still time stop no mattet how you dice it. Hell, give Shadow 5 seconds and he could wrap things up.

At that rate, it's still 8-8. Maybe add this as Inconclusive?
 
If someone gives another vote for either one of the characters here, then i will declare the winner regardless of who he is.
 
you never counted Arceus0x's vote in the OP, which would make it 9-8 for MK.

That's because he said "Shadow can stop time for a limited time"

In addition, Shaodw's power potency in his super form varies from 4-A to 2-C, so both of MK and SS's AP is equalized.
 
AP varies from tier to tier. one 4-A could AP stomp another 4-A.

you can't equalize AP. you can only use shadow's 4-A showings to gauge his 4-A strength
 
Yeah, but what i mean is that Shadow's AP should be the same as Meta Knight because his AP is variable from 4-A to 2-C, so we can assume that he can change his power levels from between those values to become as strong as MK.
