Out of curiosity what exactly happened that gives nearly every bronze saint a resistance to void manipulation?

Every single Bronze Saint? It's only the Main 5.
It's because of Athena's Ichor. The Hyperdimension erases whoever comes in contact with it in body and soul. You need to be a God to endure it. As their cloths are bathed in Athena's ichor, they are immune to the Hyperdimension's effects. Meanwhile even a powerful god like Kairos can be affected, as long as they are in a fully mortal body.
There are also other things like how Seiya is constantly enduring Hades' curse piercing his soul, how Shura can survive as a Black Hole Information Paradox that the space-time continuum itself tries to erase (Due to Athena's ichor), and also how Aiolos has Existence Erasing attacks with the Infinity Break, and at God Cloth level all Main 5 would be 100% immune to it.
Oh, and there are also the Twin Gemini from Lost Canvas enduring Kairos' Marvelous Room, which destroys both the body and soul on a quantic level. They got hit with it but managed to live on.
