Second Life Ranker Discussion Thread

— Otherworldly Transcendent Physiology —

» Unconventional Resistance to Laws of Order, or to say, Laws of the World

Otherworldly Transcendents have the trait of rejecting the laws of the world, which is basically Idea (look it up above, I've mentioned it in the Bright Tai Chi Pangu Sword one) hence making them to be outside of the laws and make it inapplicable to them, as they followed the Laws of Disorder.
Mephistopheles observed everything from outside Worldlines, which meant that the existing restrictions and laws didn’t apply to him and that he was in a completely different league compared to ordinary Celestials. - DTR Ch. 291
The shadow that wavered around Boo made his blood run cold. It was a strange energy that seemed to deny the laws of the world. Now that Boo/Faust had the Pale title, he was a transcendent with divine authority. It was difficult to tell whether he was a god or a demon, but he was clearly a divine being. However, the aura of transcendents who ruled over laws wasn’t there, as though he weren’t transcending the laws but rejecting them outright.
‘Just like… an otherworld god…!’ Alcyoneus’ eyes widened. Only then did he read the energy spinning around the being: laws of the otherworld, also known as disorder or chaos. It was the same as the powers of the creatures who called themselves the old rulers! ‘No… with that much strength… he’s almost an Outer God…!’ - SLR Ch. 582

And because of that, it should lead to the abscence of those Laws and its personification, which is the existing Concepts, making them to be lacking those aspects, one such case is below, with the case of them lacking the concept of time.
The Eight Gods of Disorder likely could ignore this movement in the “small wheel” given their strength, but Yeon-woo was confident his plan would succeed. He thought, ‘Since they don’t have the concept of time.’ If they were suddenly met with a strange concept, they’d be defeated before knowing what hit them. This was what Yeon-woo was aiming for. He didn’t intend to use the small wheel to fight them; that would be pure recklessness. Although the concept of time was a weapon that would surprise them, they'd be able to understand the unfamiliar concept quickly and counterattack. Then, the weapon would become useless. - SLR Ch. 662

— Outer Transcendent Physiology (Superior version of Otherworldly Physiology) —

» Reality Warping, Causality Manipulation, and probably Omnipresent?

I suppose I don't need to explain this one
There were a few otherworld gods who were far away, pretending not to care, but they continued to show interest in Yeon-woo. They were on the same level or as powerful as the Crawling Chaos. The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young, the Nameless Mist, the Source of Uncleanliness, the Green Flame, and the Harbinger… They were beings Yeon-woo had only seen in the revelations. To be exact, they were creatures who the heavenly world’s beings only observed and had never actually faced.
They had the traits of distorting reality, manipulating causality, and appearing ubiquitous. From the perspective of the imperfect divine beings, the Outer Gods were so powerful that they seemed omniscient and omnipotent. - SLR Ch. 661

» Additional Higher Degree Unconventional Resistance to Laws of Nature / Ideas / CM 1 for the Outer Celestial

Orígo Speciéi returned its user to the original state, which was before a soul was bound by the laws of nature, while Anathema put one beyond the laws of nature. Unlocking them meant Chang-Sun had successfully reached the last chapter to becoming an Outer Celestial. - DTR Ch. 435

Unlike the Otherworldly Celestial which simply rejects those Laws, Outer Celestial not only rejects them, but also are beyond them, making them even harder to be affected by those things, where as the simplest form of rejection itself caused them to lack those aspects.

In which chapter was that information confirmed?
I remember reading it once in DTR but I can't remember the chapter number

In which chapter was that information confirmed?
DTR Ch. 499 — Confirmation of Samael the Light Dragon being Deus Ex Machina's disciple that he once took while roaming the worldlines, which aligns with the information of Jeong-hyeon that also appeared in the 11th chapter of SLR's side story.
Btw, do you know who the other 2 demiurges are and which novels they appear in?
Ilah/Allforone appeared in SLR.
Timaios the Natural is unknown as of now, he's probably going to appear either in Chronicles of the Reincarnated Demon God or in the second part of SLR's side story.

Does anyone here read Chronicles of the Reincarnated Demon God?
Have only been following the manhwa as of now, as for the novel, I got like 300 chapters unread because how the translations are nowhere like the HTL of Second Life Ranker and Divine Twilight's Return.

Been absorbed in JOTFDE, Regressors tales of Cultivation (Which is actual peak btw), and wanted to continue the Primal Hunter. Till then, I'll probably not come back to the verse unless I like, finish everything I want to do first.

Anyways, read Regressors tales of Cultivation.

I do, been making the scaling for the verse aswell, though it's a pain to read, over 700 pdf pages just to reach Ch. 44 💀.
It is absolutely crazy how large each chapter is. You'd think it, being a korean novel, would have something like 400-500 chap that are all like, 2-3k words at best.

Some chapters are god damn 25k words. What the hell.

I'm currently at chapter 170~ish, although I wasn't making scaling for it, mostly just enjoying the story. The characters are kind of slow at this point though, ngl. Mostly lightning speed. That said, the soul/qi/intent stuff are really cool, being able to slash through planes in order to hit the soul, and intent being consciousness while also being qi, which in turn makes everything (chance for type 2 info if you ever go about it, as Intent are information about pretty much anything, and since intent = qi, everything is intent". However, there are some subtle-ish horror themes, especially about the realm where they came from, all that about eyes and stuff (which actually kind of freaked me out a bit, which I love), or the fact that words become connected whenever they traverse memory plane, and try to see what happened right before they crashed (ie where they saw the being).

As it stands, currently a 9/10 for me. Hope it becomes much more, since I'm loving it so far. I'm also interested in reading Reincarnated Swordmaster as RTOC was influenced somewhat by it, but unfortunately, it is MTL iirc, and only 300~ or so chaps.

So, does it belong to the SLR universe?

Sad news, I asked the author and he confirmed that COTRDG is not part of SLR's worldview.

By looking at some clues, such as the mention of Tower and Immortals (another type of Transcendent), then yes it does belong to SLR universe.

Mind telling me the author's direct answer? Any screenshot or link is fine, cuz it's pretty weird that COTRDG isn't connected with the worldview after seeing some things from the work itself, starting from tower, immortals, and a few more. All of those things pretty muchly aligned with the known information of the worldview.

Sorry for the late reply, I haven’t checked the thread recently

Could someone explain me the differences between dragon steps? What I mean are the differences between 2nd step territory creation, 4th step truths and ideas manipulation, 5th step interference with ideas and 6th step manipulation of illusions and reality. They all for me seems to be the same thing.

2nd step is like Domain Expansion of JJK.

4th step is basically the ability to actively manipulate Ideas stuff.

5th step made the previous step to be passive, because once the magic power absorbed by Dragon's Heart were emitted outside, it already interferes with Ideas.

6th step basically allows you to make a stronger Domain, but it is strengthened by Ideas this time around.
