A mysterious anomaly in the form of a monochromatic baseball player arrives inexplicably at the doorstep of the Containment Facility that one of the most infamous SCPs is currently running loose in, intent on purification.

Speed Equalized, battle takes place in an effectively empty containment facility. Who wins? Be sure to state your reasoning.

How Batter can get around the Lizards RE, Type 8 Immortality and Absorption?

And even if Batter manage to kill him, the Universal destruction would screw with him.

Kind of late, but-

Presumably with Purification? That's what the guy would open with, and it erases mind as much as it does body and soul... 682 seems to only resist body deletion/have no soul.

Granted, I'm not sure about how he'd get past the universe imploding as a result of The Batter purifying 682, that's sort of how he met his in-canon demise, with the Switch and all. My only guess is, if it doesn't technically "kill" him, he'd be able to exist in a Void. In theory, The Player would be able to load him into a new world, but since they'd be taking an actual, active maneuver to help that'd be outside help rather than just a passive attribute of The Batter's, so that argument's a no go I think.

682 doesnt have a mind or soul for the batter to erase and has a resistance to its body being erased as well as the Regenerationn to come back from it (Albeit i need to make a CRT so it can be added)

I mean, a physical mind, sure, but having a metaphysical psyche and having intelligence are kinda intrinsically wrapped up in one another as concepts

The verse would have to go way, way out of its way to explain why something else is the case in that world, I'd think.

It's the difference between Mind Manipulation that's rooted in manipulating their brain/biology, and Mind Manipulation that assails the psyche itself.

That's still a mind.

Disembodied consciousness is absolutely mental; you don't need a brain to have a mind so long as the series operates on the principle of dualism and metaphysics.
