Shouldn't saitama get a heat resistance upgrade considering he was only 2-3 meters away from genos when he burned all those mosquitos. I don't know excactily how warm Genos's arm's are before he got his upgrade to spar with saitama, but basing it of when he incinerated the House of Evolution (a building made off steel and rock presumably) Since the melting point of rock before it turns molten is 1200 C and the melting point of steel being 1371 C (and he did evaporate the building instanly) so it has to atleast be that warm.

heat -> energy

depending on the level of heat a character can dish out we can convert it to energy.

in your case the level of energy genos produced when evaporating the HoE is pathetically low compared to the level of energy saitama withstood already

Yeah but still, shouldn't he still be given some sort of heat resistance

That's not really how it works. What you're describing is a durability feat, and saitama has had much higher durability feats so it doesn't help him at all. You might as well try and give goku a heat resistance feat for being able to hold a lit match and not be bothered if it burns down into his hand.

It's just general all around durability that allows saitama to no sell geno's heat.

A heat resistance feat would be more like what Daenerys Targaryen does where she is able to walk through fire unharmed but is otherwise vulnerable to any similar level of damage that isn't in the form of fire.

That is to say, to have a resistance feat you have to resist something that your normal level of durability wouldn't already cover. If Saitama was shown for example to be injured by solar system level attacks but was able to ignore solar system level fire attacks completely, that would be an example of Saitama showing a heat resistance feat.

This is simpler in the case of hax, since generally speaking standard durability doesn't protect from hax at all as long as the attackers AP isn't rediculously below the targets durability (a city level reality warper isn't going to be able to do shit against a multiversal durability opponant, even without an explicit reality warping resistance feat). Because of this, in the case of hax any sort of demonstrated resistance must be something outside of conventional durability and should be noted in the profile.

it works exactly how i described it in crossover battles. unless explicitly stated or shown character a has a general resistance to it we treat fire just as a form of energy.
