Okay, so why is the timeframe I use for the Crossing the Hyperdimension feat 5 minutes?
Well, firstly, in Volume 25, Hades begins the Greatest Eclipse, his plan to align all the planets of the Solar System and create an eclipse that will shroud all of Earth in Eternal Darkness and transform it into a second Underworld.
He states that it is hours away:
Later on, in Volume 26, Hades states that the Greatest Eclipse will be complete in "minutes", showing that more time has passed:
So this means that at the most lowballed possible timeframe, there were 59 minutes left between this moment and the conclusion of the Greatest Eclipse.
The Greatest Eclipse is concluded in Volume 28, as the Saints are about to fight Hades in his true body:
Now, here is
everything that happens between Hades stating that the Eclipse's conclusion is minutes away and it being concluding:
- Athena and Hades have a little confrontation and she exorcises his spirit from Shun's body, and then Hades' soul captures Athena and takes her to Elysium
- Seiya, Shun and Shaka spend some minutes trying to destroy Hades' Wailing Wall and fail
- Aiolia, Mu and Milo awaken the 8th Sense and break free of Cocytus and beat up some Specters.
- Dohko and the three other Gold Saints arrive at the Wailing Wall and have a little conversation with the Bronzes, and then they all try breaking the Wall with the Libra Weapons, which fails too
- Kanon has a final quick confrontation with Rhadamanthys and takes him out with a suicide Galaxian Explosion
- All 12 Gold Cloths gather at the Wailing Wall and all 12 Gold Saints appear there, having revived with the 8th Sense.
- The Gold Saints have a conversation with the Bronze Saints and they give each other goodbyes and farewells, then all 12 Gold Saints combine their powers and souls into a final attack which destroys the Wailing Wall
- Shiryu does battle with three Specters while Hyoga fights with Minos, and Seiya and Shun are struggling to get through the Hyperdimension
- Seiya's Cloth grows Pegasus Wings and he grabs Shun and the two fly through the Hyperdimension to reach Elysium
- Shiryu finally defeats the three Specters he was fighting after some dramatic flashbacks and inner motivational speech
- Hyoga and Shiryu go through the same problem of crossing the Hyperdimension at first, but Hyoga's Cloth grows Swan Wings, he grabs Shiryu and they fly to Elysium
- Seiya and the others arrive in Elysium, meanwhile Ikki and Pandora have a conversation and she tells him her backstory as she's about to be killed by Thanatos
- Ikki kills some fodder Specters who try to attack him and Pandora's corpse, then he flies to Elysium after his Cloth grows Phoenix wings
- In Elysium, Thanatos and Hypnos toy with Seiya for a while and they have a conversation explaining that Athena will be killed by Hades and there's nothing he can do
- Seiya starts to actually fight back against Thanatos and is toyed with a bit more, Seiya manages to inflict a paper cut on Thanatos and the god gets pissed, and decides to psychically murder Seiya's sister on Earth as revenge, and projects a portal for Seiya to see her dying.
- Through the combined effort of Seiya + Other Bronze Saints on Earth, they stop Thanatos from killing Seika
- Shun, Shiryu and Hyoga arrive to fight Thanatos one after the other and all three get beaten. Then Ikki arrives and he gets beaten too
- Thanatos stops fooling around (Much) and he atomizes all their Bronze Cloths in one blow
- Then Poseidon back on Earth telekinetically sends the Gold Cloths through the Hyperdimension to reach Elysium
- All five Saints put Gold Cloths and fight Thanatos again, and then he atomizes all 5 Gold Cloths so that was pointless.
- Seiya awakens the God Cloth and defeats Thanatos
- Hypnos fights the remaining Saints and Shun, Shiryu and Hyoga awaken the God Cloth one after the other
- Ikki also awakens the God Cloth
- Seiya and Ikki try to kill Hades' sleeping coffin but Hades' spirit possesses the body and the final battle begins
- The two Saints get stomped. Then the other three arrive and they fight together and all get stomped.
It's
only after all of this that Hades confirms that the Eclipse has finished. The fact that all of this happens in a timeframe of at most 59 minutes (But let's be real, most likely far less since using "minutes" as the timeframe implies its significantly less than an hour) is already insane. This is some Goku vs Freeza level of compressing events in a short amount of time.
Even using 5 minutes as the timeframe for the crossing of the Hyperdimension is super generous considering that that would already consume 15 minutes with Seiya's, Shun's and Ikki's travels.
