Saint Seiya Discussion Thread (IV)

Really? Wow I would've thought you'd have watched it way earlier.
By the end of 2018, to be specific. It was the final two semesters of my university and I had very little workload and very little to spend my free time on, so I just decided to binge watch Saint Seiya. Also heard online that it was "that one verse that can rival DBZ" so that got me even more curious

This is how Saint Seiya threads are. This is JJ and Unshakable arguing, and then there's Hasty:

There ain't none, bro
The verse's profiles were pushed for temporary deletion though last I checked nobody really acknowledged it...
I might start some since I'm going to be rereading the series from scratch, I think there just needs to be a consensus on how the feats and statements from the main series and spin offs are handled, like an actual consensus on canonicity, as well as correct translations. It might help to just compile every significant feat and statement on every tier, so you have feats on the Bronze - Silver Saint tier, feats on the Gold Saint tier, and feats on the God tier for complete accuracy, I've seen a few of these online

Do you guys have the Saint Seiya Taizen Encyclopedia raws btw?

Taizen I only have some parts of it in Portuguese

I believe the raws to the Taizen were posted a few pages back on this thread
Yeah I agree I myself have a few G profiles that are only lacking tiers plus ability scans

They all just need cleaning and I guess canonicity discussion
Canon is settled as the Unshakeable's Canonicity CRT passed
If someone wants to dispute it they can, but currently, every official manga share the same setting, with Toei StS being non canon to it and vice versa
This likely means whatever blogs manga gets will need to be done for anime too

By the way, wouldn't destroying a universe in Saint Seiya be above just Low 2-C or 2-C? It might even be 2-B, no?

Based on what Shura says here, there exists multiple dimensions within a single universe, different past, presents, and futures, different timelines.

xb4OUwk.png

"The world is not necessarily just one; even within the same universe, there exist worlds that progress towards different futures. Parallel worlds..."

"Does that mean you came from a different world?"

"I still don't have any certainty, but if this is also the Oracle of the Goddess, then I will follow."

"What is the Goddess seeking, even beyond the world...?"

If there are multiple timelines within a single universe, then the overarching multiverse could qualify for Low 1-C.

I don't really know, but this seems like a solid feat of 2-C/ 2-B

Actually, there a lot of context behind this idea that would support a 5D+ cosmology, but...... verse needs deleted and redone first

Yeah that's what I was saying, because a single universe has many timelines under one "banner" so to speak, which means that there are multiple time dimensions within a single universe.

Let alone the rest of the multiverse, the multiverse can be 5D based on this.

Why does the verse need deleting though?

Depends on how you interpret the cosmology, but the Multiverse is already 5D so an extra temporal dimension would make ot 6D

I think the only mistake you made was making a proposal for the verse to be 1-A, since he had a very solid base for low 1-C with those quotes he mentioned.

I think it's because you began with Tier Low 1-A and 1-A but Low 1-C is much more acceptable based on the current tiering standards and I think it will be overwhelming accepted

This exact scan was brought up but its translation was disputed... though as Hasty said, the whole verse is on some duel of the translators shit

Aside from hypertimeline logic. Multiverse has uncountably infinite universes. Though, good luck finding a way to solidly scale too it without running into translation arguments
I think if there's only one dude arguing about translations when most of us have agreed on the gist of what it's saying then they can be dismissed with mods backing us up

There's no need to endlessly debate it

It's Gemini and Matt (Matt whom is a retired staff member and was the leading man of Saint Seiya and is a trusted member by Ant when it comes to knowledge still to Saint Seiya to this day).
