Saber, Fully Charged Excalibur VS Agrias Oaks, Final Fantasy Tactics.

Agrias is in Endgame and has access to all of her Holy Sword skills. I assume she is wielding "SaveTheQueen", since it's sort-of her most iconic weapon (Giving her Excalibur seems... rather unfair as well).

Saber is also at her most powerful.

Fighting in a level field, with equal footing near a monestary, to KO, so no moral conflicts.

Agrias.

VS

Saber's Speed would seem to bring a solid advantage, but Agrias IS a genius, and can compensate with her significant durability advantage through SaveTheQueen's abilities. Agrias is also likely to try to keep Saber at range, and since they're matched in Traverse speed, it's fair to say she could do so relatively effectively. Holy Swordskill, BTW, also has no reduced effect on holy targets. My money's slightly on Agrias here, so I'd be interested in hearing more conversation on this topic.

Agrias has superior hax, but Saber superior stats. Hm... Anyone mind clarifying what Save the Queen can do? I found Tactics too depressing to finish.

SaveTheQueen, in addition to being a Mighty KnightSword through which Swordskill can be channeled, Provides permanent Auto-Protect, which reduces all physical damage taken by 50%.

As for the question about Ultima, you are rather correct about that... hmm.

I'm not familar with Tactics, but is this the same Ivalice as XII? I don't remember any references to the subject from my knowledge of the game (which is limited since my PS2 broke down a long time ago). Sure, Luso was in the remake, but he was more of an easter egg than anything (by the same logic every would be scaled to Cloud if he was considered canon). In Tactics Advance the Ivalice is a dream created by Mewt, and in it you fight Ultima as part of the main storyline. Who's to say that the original Tactics isn't a separate continuity? Of course, my memory of the subject is fuzzy, so feel free to correct me.

Speaking of which, does that mean every major character in A2 Grimoire of the Right scales to Vaan and the Scions (they didn't fight directly but they could keep up and it's only Vaan's experience as a Sky Pirate and thief that let him get away). If so, we have a slew of Sub-Realivistic Large Planet Level characters incoming.

They're connected, FFXII is technically a prequel to FFT where its set hundreds or thousand years before FFT.

I think the Ivalice timeline is: FFXII --> FFXII RW --> FFTA2 --> FFTS --> FFT (FFT TWotL) --> Vagrant Story --> FFTA

But the modern day timeline is: FFTA --> FFTA2 (which is confusing)

Only the modern day setting of FFTA is canon Ivalice. The fantasy world that the cast get transported to is not the real Ivalice. Instead, it's an illusion created by the Gran Grimoire that pre-dates FFXII. You also have Vagrant Story aswell being an Ivalice game which is a retcon at best but it fits the myth as well.

If you really want to make the illusion of past Ivalice used in FFTA canon, the timeline would go like this: FFTA --> FFXII --> FFXII RW --> FFTA2 --> FFTS --> FFT (FFT TWotL) --> Vagrant Story --> FFTA (St. Ivalice era) --> FFTA2 (St. Ivalice era)

Well, then, never thought I'd see the day where I'd write a 5-A Luso profile, but sure.
