RWBY vol 8 discussion thread

No context spoiler: we're finally gonna get a beach episode.

Although now I'm curious what's gonna happen in Volume 9. Apparently, one of the people working on the show said it would be more unique compared to the other volumes, and that they've been planning it since the beginning.

Also with Vine,
Can we use him being able to tank the bomb with his semblance as a feat for scaling? Like obviously Vine is dead but he was still able to contain a large explosion that could’ve destroyed all of Mantel which is City level iirc.

Funnily enough that fits perfectly for how we already treat Aura, more durable than the user by a decent amount. Vine's aura was able to withstand the blast but his body wasnt

and then the characters should have in their profile new feats

but before that i still think that the main characters shoul have these keys : volume 1-3, volume 4-6,volume 7 and onwards
1-3, 4-5, 6-7, and 8 onwards actually

Though at this point im thinking we shouold split it up based on post-trainings rather than volumes

Yeah i feel like thatwould make things a bit clearer as they go through training arcs mid-season and as a result tend to have better feats in the latter half of those seasons, like going from being curbed by the Ace Ops to beating them in V 7

Every Fire Emblem game besides GBA era, Tellius era, and Three Houses scales to Town level and MHS, which is what we're upgrading Volume 7 and 8 to

Basically Fire Emblem has become RWBY's punching bag now

FE barely has hax outside of the mages and some Lords like Corrin and Avatars like Robin. Three Houses is the only game that has decent hax and it AP stomps and speed blitzes RWBY (besides the Brothers). IIRC high tier Three Houses is Large Mountain level to Large Island level and FTL, while the only character in RWBY somewhat near that level is probably Ambrosius, and even then he's probably only MHS and not FTL.

Hax is not all that determines a fight, young padawan.
