Rule Violation Reports (New forum)

I think a mod should regulate the discussion happening in this thread.

I have no idea why, but ExcelsIsBerny's first response in the thread was to be incredibly passive aggressive, condescending and rude;

In the blog, the OP assigns it a ridiculous tier (High 1-A) basically just for being beyond the material world but based on the scans presented, that’s an exaggeration.

I've never spoken to this person before, but I don't know why they're being so incredibly argumentative and passive aggressive right off the bat, especially with the indirect insult towards the people in the thread as "Ridiculous", as it should be pointed out the thread was about to be closed as several people, including myself and staff, had agreed with the thread.

Not here to demand a warning, just that a member of staff moderate the chat because they're only making it a deeply unfun experience with their tone.

I’ll just say this: the moderators can read the whole thread (not just those cherry-picked lines) and they’ll see who’s actually incredibly pressed about people disagreeing with him.

At no point have I called anyone in the thread “ridiculous.” I only said that the tier given to a part of the cosmology is ridiculous, completely different thing.

The user here has been trying to label me as aggressive from the very start of this exchange, simply because I’m the one opposing his position in the thread.

His actitude should genuinely be punished somehow.

Goofy in the same thread disagreed with me and the others, so it has nothing to do with simple disagreement, likewise, I didn't say you directly called anyone "ridiculous" either.

As I said, Goofy himself disagreed with the thread and at no point did I say anything about his tone while he was disagreeing, because there wasn't one. I do not make it a habit of asking for moderator intervention when someone disagrees, as that thread demonstrates.

I'm simply asking for some decorum in your behaviour.

I’m gonna be honest, you have a serious problem with taking things out of context and playing the victim. People explain things to you directly, and you just ignore the explanation and keep pushing your personal agenda.

It’s not an insult (neither direct nor indirect) towards anyone. I already explained (and it’s pretty obvious) that I’m talking about the tier, that the tier assigned is ridiculous because it’s far from what that part of the cosmology actually scales to.

And I’m fully within my right to bring up disagreements if the logic being used is flawed.

Honestly, you’re someone I never want to run into again on this wiki. I'm dropping it here.

To clarify, my initial point was about indirect language, so quoting me on the absence of a direct accusation doesn't contradict my statement.

I also have no idea how you have suddenly come to the conclusion I have a "serious problem" when we've never met nor spoken before today. Your behaviour is incredibly inappropriate and passive aggressive and the worst I have done to you was asking you to stop with the passive aggression, which you refused to heed, so I took the necessary steps in asking for a Mod to regulate the thread.

Making personal judgments, such as suggesting I have a "serious problem," is inappropriate and unproductive. My request for a moderator was a direct result of the conversation becoming personal rather than topical. Your subsequent suggestion that I be punished for this request has made it clear that a constructive dialogue is no longer possible. It's clear you're retaliating because I didn't capitulate to your argumentation on a debate website. Maybe you shouldn't automatically attribute hostility in my disagreements and instead accept the fact I just do not agree with you instead and that I may perhaps have another view.

For the nasu stuff on here, i did borrow scans from quora, and put them as links just incase but i didnt copy stuff from there 1 to 1 for the most part, the only things that werent mine were the Earth and textures stuff and the stuff about the imaginary space and outer gods,

Off a quick glance, really the only differences I’m seeing are slight changes in the wording here and there.

It’s also hard to believe he did anything based on his own research when Wank provided rather explicit evidence that he hasn’t read the series.

For the record, using external blogs isn’t exactly against the rules, iirc we even had an almost successful downgrade of a pretty relevant verse based on a copied blog. In this case, I’m more bothered by the mischaracterization of his role, something which I believe is enough to warrant a warning at least.

I don’t think we can really prove much either which way, which would normally shift me towards the pro-appeal side, but at the same time though, considering the specific circumstances surrounding the user, I think there’s enough reasonable doubt for me to see the manipulation option as not too farfetched either, so I’ll abstain.

I commented on everything already, but here are concluding remarks:

- I’m fine with Bambu’s Baldiback compromise of a 2 year ban. Since there’s 3 staff in favor (me, finepoint, Bambu) feel free to apply.

- me, Finepoint, and Bambu are fine with a warning for both in the Iamunanimous/Meiouhades debacle, which I will add to the tracker. @Iamunanimousinthat @MeiouHades This is an official warning, due to your recent arguments across the sailor moon/DB threads. Please make an effort to be more civil, moving forward.

- with Deadlymonarch’s case, I did favor a very short 2 wk ban initially, but reviewing the case again it does seem like he’s willing to change and genuinely apologetic so I’ll do as Finepoint did, and support a warning instead. So 2 in favor of a warning, Qaws said he’s fine with a warning or a ban, and Bambu perferred a ban iirc, considering there’s enough support for at least a warning, I will go ahead and do so. I would like to report a concerning pattern of behavior exhibited by the user " @Jockey-1337 " that I believe constitutes harassment, vote manipulation, and an abuse of influence within the VS Battles Wiki community. Recently, Jockey has been persistently targeting my Tier 0 CRT involving Gan. Despite not having an official say or relevant authority in the matter, he continues to spread his personal opinion across unrelated threads and discussions, implicitly shaping others’ views without engaging directly or constructively where it matters. In private messages, he has sent me statements such as “All Hail The Crimson King” in a provocative tone, which I interpret as an attempt to mock or intimidate me, especially considering the context of my CRT. This behavior is not only inappropriate, but also harmful, as it creates an atmosphere where open discussion becomes stifled by indirect pressure and popularity bias. His repeated actions—subtly undermining my CRT, trying to sway public opinion through off-topic comments, and sending targeted private messages—fall under vote manipulation and personal harassment. These are clear violations of community standards regarding respectful engagement and fair evaluation of content. I request that this situation be reviewed by moderation. I believe everyone should have the right to contribute without being subjected to coercion, ridicule, or biased interference.​
  • I'm not opposed to him evaluating the topic from his own perspective, but his insistence on interfering — even with messages I’ve sent privately to others — makes me think he’s actively trying to undermine the CRT I’ve opened. Moreover, he keeps sending me unrelated things in private messages, seemingly trying to imply something, which I find concerning.​

On this forum, you don’t need “relevant authority/an official say” to be able to comment on a thread. As long as he’s abiding by the rules, that’s fine.

@Jockey-1337 please explain why you messaged that on Jason’s wall, and I think he would prefer it if you don’t message him, so please don’t do so.

No. The problem isn't that he stated his opinion. The problem is that instead of simply expressing his view and stepping aside, I believe he's abusing the CRT because of a personal issue he has with me. Even though Kairach agrees with Benimoe, he privately messaged him saying that this CRT wasn't valid. Kairach refused to accept that and I believe he's doing this not as part of a debate, but simply out of spite. Because this CRT, from A to Z, consists solely of the arguments I presented to him and the ones he presented to me.

This is the same reason as mentioned above. Jockey has already presented all his arguments more than enough times (and repeatedly), and I’ve responded to him. At this point, I believe he’s doing it just to pin me down. Therefore, I believe he should be prohibited from replying to this CRT any further. He has already expressed his opinion multiple times, and I’ve listed him under the "disagrees" section.
  • EDIT: Of course, I’m not asking for something stupid like wanting Jockey to be banned from this wiki. I’m just saying that, because of his negative actions, he shouldn’t be posting messages in the Tier 0 CRT opened for Gan or trying to convince users of his own opinion outside the CRT. (He’s already stated his opinion — that’s not rude in itself.)​

Also, I actually encourage people to ask me to clarify if they're ever uncertain of where I stand, especially for a topic this complicated where my opinion is likely to change overtime.
 
I agree with Catzlaflame. Also, Jockey has been around since 2014, he is often strange and usual, and perhaps often overly enthusiastic, but he's not actually the malicious type. And the posts I saw aren't really anything that would fall under a rule violation.

All I ask is that he stop commenting on CRT because it's causing too much confusion. Others are free to express their own opinions. I've had a similar argument with Goofy here before.

They've mostly had constructive comments, from what I can tell.

I think you misunderstood. I never said I wanted Jockey to get banned or anything like that. I just said he should stay away from the CRT because he's causing confusion. He's already stated his opinion more than enough, and I added him to the 'disagrees' section. Also, he made the same mistake not once, but twice — even after I warned him the first time.

Well, even if we don't actually click the button per-se, to tell him not to respond to the CRT is effectively thread-banning him.

I think it would set a terrible precedent if we started silencing opposition on threads just for being active and making a few mistakes.

It was a joke that doesn't contain anything aggressive, and it is the only message I sent to him. So it is neither harassment nor spam.
I also sent the same comment to my friend on a different site, there is nothing bad.

Also, if I'm here - I want to ask mods to fix the OP of the thread. For some reasons, @Jason_Voorhees1986 ignores me , I asked him to fix the OP - #1, #2, #3.
Jason counts votes of people who agree with him and does not count votes of people who disagree. That is undemocratic.

You may check the materials. Most of the materials that support your interpretation come from legends, myths, folklore and mortal people who are not sure.

My interpretations are based on materials that come from children with supernatural abilities, the Crimson King's avatar (a nigh omnipotent character of the universe) and the Glossary (an omniscient narrator - Author/Viewer).

In general, try behaving for once (he's got like 5 warnings already, right?).

I know it's not serious, but he keeps having the same attitude constantly (I usually follow several threads, including some he's in, like the Zelda thread, Pokemon, Death Battle, the Pokemon Master Canon, among others). And his attitude is always the same. I think this is literally the first time we've interacted, and he couldn't get through two messages without making a problem with my opinion and trying to stand out by belittling me for having a different opinion than his. (I admit I was a little petty at the end, but still)

To be honest, I would say something myself, but we would probably fill up the Pokemon thread for a while, which would be problematic for the rest of the people present.

Unfortunate to see considering I was the one who pushed to lower his earlier ban length.

That being said, I think that a month ban is fine, but also, since the Pokémon discussion thread seems to be the primary outlet for all his elitist yapping I would push for a thread ban there as well.

I'll admit that I'm kinda in a perpetual bad mood from how bad all my CRTs are doing, but taking things personally isn't a rule break, especially in my case when I feel I have actual reason to feel that way (and looking at the amount of Likes on comments that talk about punishing me).

Obviously Sparkive listing how he feels about the Pokemon rivals, on its own, is not an attempt to upstage me in any way, but the context of me stating my displeasure with the S/V rivals beforehand and his comments towards me after that are.

I genuinely don't know what people mean by "elitist", because this is just the way I talk, and if you got responses like this and people talked about you like this and this for years, you would start to think people don't like you and learn to nip insults in the bud too.
