Boy, that's a twistI have unfortunately had to permanently ban LordTracer, as the automatic sockpuppet finding system reported that the banned troll accounts UranusMeteor (and Dark_Ocean_Of_Asteroids) are controlled by him. This also means that he is Pandimensionalbeing042, who has created quite a lot of sockpuppet accounts to harrass some of our members with slurs and threats, mainly via Fandom, but here as well to a degree.
Shit. I don't know him at all, but that might be such a backstab for those who liked him and found him helpful. God, what a lying dog.I have unfortunately had to permanently ban LordTracer, as the automatic sockpuppet finding system reported that the banned troll accounts UranusMeteor (and Dark_Ocean_Of_Asteroids) are controlled by him. He told me that he has nothing to do with this accounts and never heard about them. How does this system works?I have unfortunately had to permanently ban LordTracer, as the automatic sockpuppet finding system reported that the banned troll accounts UranusMeteor (and Dark_Ocean_Of_Asteroids) are controlled by him. Well, he said he doesn't even know who they are lmao, so unless he admit he created those accounts, I'll be here to send his messages, so the staff can see them.but that might be such a backstab for those who liked him and found him helpful.
Isn't that what everybody would say in this situation. But we have also asked fandom for confirmation, so let's wait for that, it's better to double-check in this case.He told me that he has nothing to do with this accounts and never heard about them.
This, we shouldn’t ban a user for what might be a misunderstanding without at least defending himself. Can you let a man speak first and then permaban him?
As AKM said, there is really no point to it, as we know what he is going to say, but it is his word against hard evidence.I mean, we already know how it's gonna go down. Tracer, irrespective of whether he used socks or not, will say he didn't. But as of right now, there is hard evidence against him. Let's wait for the system administrator for confirmation. There is no need for the back and forth.
Do you have pictures or something of this evidence?there is hard evidence against him
Agree we should let the man speak, the Guilty until proven innocent ideal should not be tolerated, we're not a dictatorship.I agree that the dude should be able to give a defense to himself, it doesn’t seem very fair to insta perma ban someone without hearing what they have to say first
I do, but I am not sure whether or not I should show it in public, as it reveals a bit about how our system works to trolls.Do you have pictures or something of this evidence?
We do have hard evidence, which has so far proven consistently reliable, but let's wait to see what our system manager tells me. Otherwise it is just allowing what is likely Pan to talk his way out of being caught redhanded.Agree we should let the man speak, the Guilty until proven innocent ideal should not be tolerated, we're not a dictatorship.
I understand this, but I don’t think I should just take your word on this, lord tracer has been a continually productive and polite user and should have at least been reported here before he was banned.I do, but I am not sure whether or not I should show it in public, as it reveals a bit about how our system works to trolls.
How would somebody use his IP address in conjunction with himself? That would take massive hacking skills.Imagine that he was actually set up by someone else or was hacked and we just permaban him without even talking to him first
We are also not obligated to show and prove every inner working of the system, which might or might not help anyone circumvent it in the future. I'd appreciate this back and forth stops until we have confirmation from the system manager.I do, but I am not sure whether or not I should show it in public, as it reveals a bit about how our system works to trolls.
Yes, I am very surprised as well, but as AKM said, we should wait for our system manager to give us further information.I understand this, but I don’t think I should just take your word on this, lord tracer has been a continually productive and polite user and should have at least been reported here before he was banned.
It Depends. But it would have to mean that the other person must be in a close enough area. for example, I share my IP with tons of people in the area/city and have on occasion been unable to log into my Microsoft account because someone got permabanned on their Xbox. How would somebody use his IP address in conjunction with himself? That would take massive hacking skills.
Ok, cool, but "We HaVe EvIdEnCe" doesn't work when you conceal the "EvIDeNcE" and instantly perma ban the profile without even letting us find the connection between the two.Look, again, we have actual concrete evidence. There isn't much else that we can reasonably do at the moment. I am very uncomfortable with this as well.
People can actually do this and it’s very possible trust meHow would somebody use his IP address in conjunction with himself? That would take massive hacking skills.
No, there are certain of our trolls, such as Pan and Mikoto, who have been very good at pretending to be different people over the years.Ok, cool, but "We HaVe EvIdEnCe" doesn't work when you conceal the "EvIDeNcE" and instantly perma ban the profile without even letting us find the connection between the two.
People with socks usually share same patterns.
