If FANDOM gave him a temporary block for it, I don't mind giving him a second chance. Besides that one incident of posting ****, I don't remember him doing anything malicious. If he has learned his lesson, he will behave from now on. If he acts up again, we can permaban him then. I do remember him derailing some important threads and being annoying at times, but I'm hoping that wouldn't be an issue.

I'm neutral in the long run on letting him back, but I'd think the staff who know more context should comment before letting him back. And possibly a few people in the HR group. But I agree that letting him back should be within a heavy tight spot.

Give them a chance, but watch them heavily. I do not care if they have helped in the past, I care that they have worked out their issues for what they say had been a few years, and they feel they are ready to come back. If they do something malicious against the community again, I would advocate for another ban.

Can I just say that based on his behavior, he really seems similar to another user from another versus forum I was on from years back who went by this exact name? I mean, really, dude named Crayons? Stonewalls and acts like a bit of a troll? Just saying he reminds me of someone by the same name based on how he acts, and the uncannily same name isn't helping, so, yeah, keep an eye open.

I think it's fine if they come back; worst case scenario, if they post another pic like that, we just ban them again. I don't recall them being actively malicious or something.
