Rule Violation Reports (New forum)

I don't think he had bad intentions? But regardless, that linking a **** website to a site that does not approve of anything like that is a dumb move, like I'm pretty sure that should be common knowledge?

I'm very hesitant to immediately ban members for an obvious mistake like this. I didn't even know it was an automatic ban. I'd wait for a Sysop or a Bureaucrat's opinion, but
Rules have exceptions, I'm willing to let this slide with a warning or a temp ban, given it seemed to be a genuine mistake.
Makes the most sense.

This may not have been their fault. From what I've heard, sometimes gfycat detects a gif as being 18+ (by a failure of the algorithm or by containing gore) and automatically moves it to their site for **** gifs.

Given what BigSmoke's pointed out, that's almost certainly what happened here.

that's ******* weird, i copied the url from the gif on gyfcat but if you click the link it shows a different gif now

Ah that makes sense

this is what i had in mind.

I think I've also seen stuff like that on reddit. Relatively innocent gifs but redirects to redgifs instead of gfycat. Inversely, I've also seen NSFW material but still remains as a gfycat link.

If we're considering stuff like that against the rules, then I think we kind of have to tackle the question of how to present video-based feats. The most reliable site we've had for them was gfycat but, as you've seen here, they now sometimes move them onto their 18+ site.

No problem. As the others said, we cannot ban well-behaved members for stupid mistakes.

Okay. Thank you to Crimson as well then.

This guy is making fights with a character called "Adriana Lima"? I can't find a profile of who he's referring to and I don't think it's on VsBattles Wiki. His general choice of matchups are also odd, so it's worth looking into if anyone has the time?

I don't think that's a fictional character. Adriana Lima seems to be a model/actress

Is somebody willing to give him a warning please? Real world people are not supposed to be used in fights here.
