Ruby Rose

Ruby-0
As a girl, I wanted to be just like those heroes in the books... Someone who fought for what was right, and protected people who couldn't protect themselves!
~ Ruby Rose
RWBY4-ruby-3

You're wrong. We've done things that most people would call impossible, and I know the only reason we were able to do it is because we didn't do it alone! We had people to teach us, people to help us, we had each other. Work with us. At least I know we'll have a better chance if we try together. Please.
~ Ruby, to Rave
Summary
Ruby Rose is the 15-year old leader of Team RWBY attending Beacon Academy two years early, due to her abilities impressing the headmaster. Trained by her Uncle Qrow, Ruby wields a unique weapon named Crescent Rose, a cross between a scythe and a high-caliber sniper rifle that is able to fold up into itself. Her semblance is speed, enabling her to run at rates that are too fast for the eye to catch. As she is the youngest of the group, she can be a bit childish, naive, and weapon-obsessed, but displays leadership qualities and an understanding of people that ultimately led her to be chosen as Team RWBY's leader. She was inspired to become a Huntress by the fairy tales her half-sister Yang read her, wanting to become just like the heroes in the stories. She is determined to make the world a better place for others and try to stop the forces that conspire against it.

Powers and Stats
Tier: 8-C | High 8-C

Name:
Ruby Rose

Origin: RWBY

Gender: Female

Age: 15 (Volumes 1―3), 16 (Volume 4)

Classification: Human, Beacon Academy student, Huntress-in-training, Leader of Team RWBY

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Expert Scythe wielder and marksma, Aura (Able to use her Aura for numerous purposes), Forcefield Creation (Aura can be used as a full-body forcefield), Statistics Amplification (Can use Aura to enhance her striking power), Enhanced Senses (Can use her Aura to sharpen her senses), Regenerationn (Mid-Low), Potential Realizatio (Can unlock the Aura of another person), Super Speed (Able to increase her speed with her Semblance), Pseudo-Flight (Can propel herself using Crescent Rose), Elemental Manipulation (Can load various Dust-charged clips that enhance her shots with elemental properties - these include Fire, Ice, Electricity, and Gravity), Immobilizatio (Able to freeze objects/living things in place with Silver Eyes) | All previous abilities plus Flight, Elemental Intangibility, and Pseudo-Duplication via her Semblance

Attack Potency: Building level+ (Displaced several tonnes of rock while dragging a Nevermore up a cliff) | Large Building level (Ca one-shot Nevermores, which previously took the combined efforts of her entire team to accomplish. Blocked strikes from a Beringel, which collapsed the roof of a large church on a whim)

Speed: Hypersonic (Comparable to Yang Xiao Long, who can run this fast while crossing a bridge, and Weiss Schnee, who could travel this fast while fighting Flynt. Consistently reacts to bullets and consistently keeps up other bullet timers like Mercury Black), higher with her Semblance (Dashed and blitzed Team JPNR, trapping them on a vortex with her speed) | Hypersonic+ (Equal to Blake Belladonna and comparable to Sun Wukong. Deflected Tyrian's shots and Emerald's bullets), higher with her Semblance

Tanked a hit from Nora Valkyrie, who consistently has feats on this level) | Large Building level (Took a direct hit from the Nuckelavee, which required the combined efforts of Team RNJR to defeat. Withstood a direct punch from a Beringel)

Stamina: High (Ruby can mutilate hordes of monsters by herself and shows no signs of fatigue in battle at all)

Range: Extended melee range with Crescent Rose, at least hundreds of meters with sniper rifle

Standard Equipment: Crescent Rose, Dust ammunition

Intelligence: High, especially regarding combat and weapons (Ruby is extremely knowledgeable regarding weapons, having designed and built Crescent Rose from scratch during her time at Signal Academy, and being able to name every individual part of her weapon. She is capable of analyzing a weapon she's never seen before down to the function and the material it's made of just by looking at it once, even when suffering from severe stage fright. She also possesses superb combat prowess, having received training from her uncle Qrow. She is capable of taking on entire hordes of Grimm on her own and walking away without a scratch and utilizing the different functionalities of the Crescent Rose, such as the massive recoil from the rifle aspect of the weapon and the weapon's transformtive capabilities, in tandem with each other and her Semblance in order to maintain an edge over her opponent. Ozpi himself has stated that it would take someone with skill comparable to that of Qrow in order to wield Crescent Rose to its fullest efficiency)

Weaknesses: Ruby is somewhat reckless, Continual damage to her Aura will cause it to decay to the point where she can be left open to more significant damage, Inept at hand-to-hand combat | Unable to use Silver Eyes willingly and to their fullest extent (She has only demonstrated the ability to utilize the Silver Eyes involuntarily in situations where people she cares about have been or are in danger of being killed, such as after witnessing Pyrrha being murdered in front of her or Cinder almost killing Jaune. The initial result of using the Silver Eyes left her unconscious for several days with no recollection of what happened prior, though this may have been due to the magnitude to which the ability was used, as when she saved Jaune the ability was far less powerful)

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Crescent Rose: Ruby's weapon, a large Scythe/High-Caliber Sniper Rifle hybrid that she wields with expert proficiency. The Crescent Rose possesses a converting frame, allowing Ruby to transform from a compact storage mode, a rifle mode, and an expanded scythe mode. The weapon's rifle mode takes the form of a medium-length, bolt-action rifle. In this form, the absence of the scythe makes for more effective use of the rifle component. In its fully expanded scythe mode, Crescent Rose makes for a deadly mid-to-close-range bladed melee weapon. This form also doubles as a long-barrel sniper rifle for long-range shots without giving up the melee capabilities of the scythe. The Crescent Rose's rifle has a massive recoil, but instead of compensating for it, Ruby harnesses it to enhance her mobility in combat, firing shots to propel herself short distances, simultaneously attacking and evading opponents, and using it to launch herself through the air. In melee combat, Ruby can fire a shot immediately before a swing, using the recoil to increase the force and speed of her attack. She can also embed the scythe's blade into the ground to prevent the weapon's recoil from throwing off her aim with the sniper rifle component, allowing for rapid, accurate shots. If needed, the bottom of the shaft can unfold to add more cutting power in a close-range fight while also rotating the barrel of the rifle, enabling the recoil to rotate Ruby instead of launching her forward, increasing the slicing power drastically.
    • Dust Ammunition: Crescent Rose is able to use different kinds of Dust ammunition, as as first seen in the "Red" Trailer when she used Gravity Dust after reloading it with the said magazine, and later demonstrated again in RWBY: Grimm Eclipse and Volume 4.
      • Fire Dust: Shoots fire from the muzzle of Crescent Rose.
      • Ice Dust: Allows Ruby to fire ice projectiles from Crescent Rose capable of encasing foes in ice.
      • Gravity Dust: Increases the recoil effect when firing the Crescent Rose, propelling Ruby at increased speeds.
      • Electric Dust: Fires an electric projectile that briefly paralyzes the target. The discharge from this type of round can also create chain lightning which spreads to surrounding targets.
    • Crescendo: Ruby spins her scythe in a circle and damages enemies, pulling enemies closer with each hit and smashing enemies back with the final strike.
    • Reap: Ruby jumps into the air and spins downwards with her scythe, damaging the ground and using the debris as projectiles to damage enemies.
  • Semblance: Speed: Ruby's Semblance is Speed, an ability which allows her to move at a much greater speed than what she is normally capable of, appearing as nothing but a red blur leaving rose petals in its wake. She is capable of using this ability in midair as a means of flight, using it to repeatedly change directions in mid-air and attack at high speeds, and to create powerful whirlwinds that can suck in and knock away objects and foes caught by it and envelop her enemy in a tornado-like rush of air. She also exhibited the ability to seemingly transform into three separate clusters of rose petals, allowing her to flow around an opponent before reforming.
  • Silver Eyes: A mysterious and powerful ability Ruby inherited from her mother, Summer, the Silver Eyes manifests as blindingly bright light emitted from Ruby's eyes. Ruby has only demonstrated this ability twice. Once after witnessing Pyrrha's death at the hands of Cinder, and once when fighting Cinder and her faction. Although, she currently has no control over or even any idea how to utilize this power, it has shown to be capable of incapacitating the Grimm Dragon and inflicting debilitating wounds on Cinder.

Asuka (Senran Kagura)
Asuka Portrait (SKB - RN)
==Summary==
Asuka is a character from the Senran Kagura videogame series. She makes her debut in Senran Kagura: Portrait of Girls. A 2nd-year Hanzo student, Asuka is energetic and willing to work as hard as she can.

Her grandfather was apparently a great ninja himself, whose influence contributes to Asuka's earnestness about her shinobi training.

Powers and Stats
Tier: High 8-C, higher with Frantic Mode | High 8-C

Name:
Asuka

Origin: Senran Kagura

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Classification: Shinobi

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Expert Swordswoma, Ninjutsu Aura, Extrasensory Perception, Pseudo-Teleportation, Limited Earth Manipulation (Can generate large stalagmites from the ground), Summoning (Can summon frogs of varying size), Pocket Reality Manipulation (Can create Shinobi Barriers, pocket realms to fight in that hide shinobi from regular civilians and minimizes collateral damage), Transformation, Statistics Amplification (Frantic Mode boosts attack speed and power even further but reduces defense) | Same as before but to a greater extent, Immunity to staggering

Attack Potency: Large Building level (Fought Orochi and the other Yoma. Can contend with Homura and Yumi), higher with Frantic Mode | Large Building level+ (Should be considerably stronger in this form)

Speed: Supersonic (Should be fast enough to dodge the attacks of the other shinobi and faster than Murasaki) | Supersonic (Slightly faster than base form)

Lifting Strength: Class K (Should be comparable to Naraku)

Striking Strength: Large Building Class | Large Building Class+

Durability: Large Building level
(Can take hits from other strong shinobi like Yumi, traded blows with the strongest Yoma, survived hits from Crimson Homura while she herself was still in base form), lower with Frantic Mode | Large Building level+ (Should be considerably stronger in this form)

Stamina: High (Mostly due to her training as a shinobi. Is considered one of the strongest shinobi students due to her undying will)

Range: Extended melee range with her swords and several meters with her strongest Ninja Arts

Standard Equipment: Green Willow and Red Blossom (twin wakizashis), her ninja frog, throwing kunai

Intelligence: A pretty skilled and experienced fighter as a Hanzo Academy shinobi.

Weaknesses: Gullible, clumsy, strictly follows the code of a good shinobi (which hinders her judgement of evil shinobi or disobeying orders). Also highly vulnerable when her clothes are completely ripped in battle.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Dual Slash: Asuka sheathes both of her swords, slowly leans forward, then quickly draws both of them at once and dashes forward; slicing through any and all that are in her path. This move is sometimes done with the aide of rocks depending on the game.
  • Hanzō-Style Full Bloom: Asuka takes a stance as her two swords become coated in a greenish glow. She then dashes forward and unleashes a barrage of slashes on to her enemies. Asuka would then slam both of her swords down, causing sharp rocks to rise up from the ground. The direction can be changed as she is slashing, making it easier to follow after straying enemies that are nearby.
  • Hanzō-Style Storm Kick: While in th air, Asuka sheathes both of her swords, then sticks her leg out and begins to spin around, creating a whirlwind to attack enemies in the surrounding area as she descends.
  • Hanzō-Style Blooming Slash: While airborne, Asuka takes both her swords and extends them outwardly to the sides. She then spins rapidly in place, creating a vortex of wind that envelopes her body. This wind carries her through the air as she ascends in the direction of her enemies, scooping them up and sending them flying all in one swift motion. Afterwards, she stops and descends back to the ground.
  • Toad Summon: Asuka makes a series of hand signs, attempting to summon a large toad; which she is later successful. Once summoned, she celebrates and jumps onto the toad's back. However, the toad ignores her commands and acts on its own The toad then leaps into the air with Asuka still holding on for dear life and makes a dive for the opponent(s). Once it lands, it begins to slash wildly with it's tongue, as Asuka flails about trying to keep hold.
  • Shinobi Transformation: A physical technique that uses the Atrribute of Yang, in where the fundamental essence of the shinobi is used as a battle tool by releasing the body's internal spiritual energy in all six chakras simultaneously.
  • Frantic Mode: A technique that uses the Attribute of Yin, performed by stripping off one's clothing, resulting in a considerable enhancement in speed and attack power by absorbing blood spilled within the shinobi barrier. However, it is a double-edged sword, as it also incurs a significant penalty to defense
  • Ultimate Form/Deep Shadow: Asuka transforms into a stronger form to boost her strength to levels above Frantic Mode. In this mode, her hair simply let down out of its ponytail and is surrounded by a green aura. The length of her blades are also increased by this aura. Homura also shares a similar ability.

Key: Base | Ultimate Mode
Speed is equalized

Ruby: 1 (Kiryu2012)

Asuka: 9 (Ricsi-viragosi, Veloxt1r0kore, Knightofannihilation666, Meshifuari Arimota, Dziga, Jinx666, Cropfist, RapidMotorcycle19, ZackMoon1234)

Inconclusive: 8 (Arrogant Schmuck, Poinciana1971, Laughing Manson, RebubleUselet, WeeklyBattles, Theglassman12, ApiesDeathbyLazors, Xanxussasa1010)

Well, Asuka is 2x stronger in base and can go to 4x stronger with ultimate mode. Ryby can amp speed but it still behard ti fight someone who much stronger like her. Plus Asuka can also summon toad to help her fight too.

VVote for Asuka for now.

Ruby with her semblance can harm take down people 2x stronger than herself with ease and frantic mode halves akuma's durability

Ruby also has far more versatility and mobility, plus this is post timeskip so she spams her semblance a lot

No I am asking this

If she can do it with ease then she clearly isn't 2x weaker

Pre-timeskip ruby with her semblance was able to injure Pyrrha who is High 8-C and post timeskip with her semblance was able to take down the beringel who was able to fight her normally

Despite being most likely the least versatile character in the series, Asuka is considered by pretty much all the higher-ups to be the strongest and most skilled. Her stamina is also insane to the point where pretty much any fight she's in is going to become a war of attrition.

Sorry I'm late everyone, there was that whole fiasco with the Wiki unfollowing everyone from threads.

The food foght was extremely casual. Pyrrha would utterly destroy Ruby.

Gotta say though, Ruby takes it for the versatility

So limited Earth Manipulation (Generates Rocks from the ground), and Pseudo Teleportation. What makes it Pseudo Teleportation?

She disappears into the ground and then reappears elsewhere. Some might argue that she's simply digging really fast but it's for all intents and purposes teleportation.

Actually I could type out an essay's worth proving how skilled and such Asuka is, but given that the argument that everyone's FRAing essentially boils down to 'She has more abilities lol' then it would seem as though this verdict was determined the moment this match was created.

Give me this essay then, or just a few examples of how Asuka can defeat Ruby, while Ruby doesnt stand a chance. I'm willing to change my vote depending on it.

I'm not saying Ruby doesn't stand a chance. If that were true this would be a stomp. I'm saying the fact that the reasons for Ruby winning are basically 'She has more abilities' shows that people more or less glanced at both profiles, noticed that Asuka's list was shorter than Ruby's, then came back and gave their vote based on that. And if that's really how this is going to go down then I don't see why taking the time to type paragraphs and get screenshots is worth it.

I think Ruby wins because even though Asuka is over 2 times stronger, Ruby is more mobile in battle thanks to her Semblance and can hurt people stronger than her.

Also since Ruby uses a bladed weapon Asuka's Dura advantage isn't all that much since bladed weapons can cut people stronger than you. Ruby's Aura will stop Asuka's swords from cutting her.

Not saying Ruby is immune to blade attacks since her Aura can break. Just that for a good chunk of this fight it'll be like Asuka is using a blunt weapon instead of a sword.

Also can Asuka even use Frantic Mode while she's transformed?

Ruby also has a bunch of elemental Dust Bullets like Lightning, Ice, and Fire. Ruby also spams her Semblance which gives her Intangibility and True Flight.

I think that Ruby wins Via superior Mobility, Flight, Intangibility (That she spams), Versatility, and Range advantage.

Starting Distance: The characters start as far away from each other as the highest range of the fighters is, but a maximum of 4 kilometers. For example, if one character has a range of 10 meter and the other has a range of 20 meter they start 20 meter apart. However if the range of one character is 10 meter and the range of the other is 5 kilometer, they start only 4 kilometer apart. If extreme advantages are generated via this distance to one side, a balanced alternative should be discussed in the thread.

Also that is just my opinion about this battle and you're free to disagree of course.

Though sorry if I sounded rude there or something.
