This is used as an argument for Ruby being able to one-shot High 8-C with her semblance. Obviously, saying an 8-C can one-shot a high 8-C is wrong, so we either sayy this isn't legit and that argument goes out the window, or we say that it is and update her profile with "High 8-C with semblance."

She took out Pyrrha, Jaune, Ren, and Nora simultaneously while also destroying the wall behind her without even touching it, on another occasion she knocked Penny off her feet. Post timeskip her slipstream easily disoriented and somewhat ragdolled the Beringel that was fighting her on even footing.

The feat was done in a food fight, it's not meant to be taken seriously and neither of them suffered any form of notable damage

And Mercury, someone who is on Pyrrha's level, casually kicked pre Time Skip Ruby away

Isn't that more of a Speed feat anyway? Ruby didn't knock them out or even hurt them, they got up a few seconds later, and seemed fine.

It shows how fast she is but, that's it.

@Garg no, its not a slipstream, the slipstream is where there is visibly wind picking up and moving things as she's using her semblance. Merc kicked her when she was just using her semblance normally.

@Ricsi Because she didnt pick anyone up or throw them, the force from her semblance hit them and knocked them backwards

Her semblance created a wind that picked them up, that is lifting strenght. Ap is when you hurt or destroy something.

No my dude, thats AP

Plus she DID destroy something, the force of her making the slipstream shattered the wall behind her witout her even touching it

That is the ap, but picking people up who were only grounded by their feet is just lifting strength, especially since no one was harmed by the attack.

No... picking stuff up relies on the amount of erenergy you can muster to lift those up. At most you can calc the amount of energy needed to create a wind strong enough to do that, but blowing back an 8-C teen with class K lifting strenght and a 4-C one with the same lifting strenght doesn't change

I mean... Pyrrha wasn't, and the fight was overdramatised for comedic effect, and by that logic everyone scakes to Hihg 8-C for not having their backs break.

Throwing stuff is specifically lifting strenght. You could calculate how much energy it takes to create a wind this strong for AP, but I doubt it would give anything aplucable.

@Ricsi Wouldnt be the first time pre-timeskip characters have taken hits from High 8-Cs and been just fine.

Shes not throwing them though, she's hitting them with a force that is knocking them back

The High 8-Cs scale to that due to being far superior to 8-Cs. You can't scale them back.

She is creating a wind that picked them up and threw them back. The only AP aplicable thing about that is to calculate how much energy is needed to make that wind,

@Deathstroke They were all harmed by it, they were audibly groaning in pain after they hit the wall
I'm pretty sure that was for comedic effect, the feat itself wasn't anything impressive. And besides, it's still a lifting strength feat. As the others have pointed out, throwing is related to lifting strength.

inb4 the calc yields High 8-C

Yang Took dozens of hits from Mercury who is High 8-C scaling from Pyrrha and no one else. Ruby took hits form him too. Ruby also oneshot Cardin in the canon manga.

Its not a joke feat, why are people acting like it is?

Plus this isnt the only time she's done something like this as ive described in an earlier post. She did it against both Penny and the Beringel

I don't know! Not like the fight as an overdramatic foodfight.

So Penny running from Atlas soldiers and a fight against a strong grimm is an overdramatic food fight?

No, but you were referring to the foodfight when saying "Its not a joke feat"

Shes only used the slipstream once in the foodfight. Which was toned down, full of gags, and senseless casual fun.

The Beringel was post Volume 3, where shes already High 8-C, so that can't be counted nevertheless.

And Penny wasn't trying to stop Ruby. Her dragging penny along willingly isnt a feat that can be scaled.

Wait, did any of their auras break? Why would they be groaning in pain from it then? Characters can be hurt / damaged without breaking their aura first?

Also, slightly shattering the wall wouldn't even be an 8-C feat, would it?

Also, picking them up off the ground doesn't require a ton of AP. Just lifting strength.

They feel the pain, and pretty sure some were knocked out witout aura breaking.
