Retcon any part of any franchise to get the most impact

Title. You can decide that it was a dream, an illusion, or something else to make all the plot and characters in it invalid. for instance, making everything but Digimon Tamers in-universe fiction, thus getting rid of most of the hax and most of the cosmology. The main point of this thread is trying to get the most impact possible out of such a thing.

Make the entire otherworldly plot of Twin Peaks be the main character trippin on drugs he found in the train where the fire walk with me message was, instead it says "fire hit the line with me"
 
Retcon DBZ as a video game with a skybox with all the destruction being septillion times smaller than it actually is

Negative impact?

retcon Naruto so that Kaguya gets replaced by another villain who absolutely no-diffs Team 7 and Sakura saves them by beating the enemy but just before the enemy dies it kills both Naruto and Sasuke.

Retcon Pesterquest, and the Homestuck characters stop being 1-A and Low 1-A, and MSPA Reader goes from the strongest character in the verse, to becoming the weakest in the verse.

Azathoth was a human having a nightmare about how his species is completely inconsequential from the perspective of a godlike being among godlike beings

Any verse with higher levels of existence: Reveal that there is another, yet higher, level of existence. However, that level of existence is something like regular human dreams so that it is simultaneously a lower level of existence. As it turns out there is no hierarchy of higher levels of existence, but instead a circle of levels of existence. Hence it's shown that human can in practice oneshot the Tier 1 beings as easily as the Tier 1 beings were believed to oneshot humans.

Honestly, I hope we get a franchise that consistently has a cosmology like that at some point. I just wonder how the heck we would tier it.
 
retcon the real world so dimensions actually work how vsbattles tiers describe them and our universe is 4-dimensional because time exists and time is the 4th dimension
 
Everything in pokemon was just ash dreaming after he went into coma by the spearow attack, nothing like arcues, ho-ho, ct or lake trio exists. Everything was a dream and they should be downgraded to athlete level at best.
