Resistance to Poison or Sleep Manipulation

In the original novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, The Cowardly Lio, The Scarecrow, and The Tin Woodma for a time are unaffected by the poppy fields (though T.C.L. eventually gets affected.)

Due to this should T.S. and T.T.W. have Immunity to Poison or Sleep Inducment, while T.C.L. should only have resistance?
