Rukia is overall more versatile than rem with her kido and shikai abilities, in a long range battle probably rukia wins, in a close combat battle rem could win, she has insane stamina and endurance, like being able to take on a 1000 man army by herself and having her body severely contorted and still being alive, plus her low level regen, so if it's close range rem could win, if she manages to directly touch rukia and injure her it's over, she could use el Human and manipulate her blood killing her.

Depends on the starting distance, something like 10m rem, 100 meters rukia. Though would rukia allow rem to get close though, probably not, leaning more towards rukia, although rem could put up a barrier and fire back ice attacks in a long range fight and seeing as she gets her mana from by absorbing it from the atmosphere, she isn't getting tired anytime soon.

I don't know if the Standard Battle Assumptions takes care of range issues. I'll just add your vote as inconclusive for now.

Well Standard Battle Assumptions says "The characters start as far away from each other as the highest range of the fighters is, but a maximum of 4 kilometers. If extreme advantages are generated via this distance to one side, a balanced alternative should be discussed in the thread"

Both have ranges of hundreds of meters, so yea long range fight, still pretty close i think rukia does have an advantage but rem has high stamina and endurance and with her source of power coming directly from the atmosphere, she could keep shielding herself from rukia's attacks, if she manages to get up close she could win.
