Honestly I think east side needs to have the definition of a “superhero” broadened to iust be an “anonymous do-gooder”, because a superhero as asserted, is a western concept.

There are alot of japanese superheroes (tokusatsu shows), it's just that they are either super haxy or out-tiered.
That said, I'm pretty sure Magical Girls are also superheroes, given how Japaneses recognize Pretty Cures as a super hero series. (Or possibly because it is a sister series to Kamen Rider ? )
