Record Of Ragnarok Discussion Thread #1

Adam and Zeus are going to have some things added, removed or changed. And Zeus will have a new key (which won't change much, it's just to organize more), and the "tabber" is not right because when I put it, the colors disappear, so I didn't put it for now.

Speaking of which, do you guys think I should take "Creation" out of Zeus?

It was Heimdall who spoke, and considering the whole scene of him praising Zeus, it might be hyperbole. And nothing but the words of Heimdall indicate that Zeus has that power.

I think about removing it and putting "Possibly/Probably (I don't know the difference between these two)".

If you think you guys should possibly or not have one, I think I'll add Void Manipulation since Heimdall also talked about it in the same panel.

Probably = a very good chance

That said, I don’t think either of them should be on the page since Zeus shows nothing of the sort. At least when stuff is mentioned for others like Shiva’s destroy the world statement etc, they all are blatantly shown to be true or stated by the narrator.

Now that I'm reviewing some profiles, it reminded me of something.

So that I don't waste unnecessary time, not only mine but also that of my fellow translator, I try as much as possible to use the scans translated by fans (since I don't have any official media). But when I find something very suspicious I ask my colleague what was written in the original.

And then going through Sasaki and Poseidon's fight I came across this.

And in the original it is like this.

It's a "small" change but it can make a big difference. Aside from Brunhilda not saying "Oh my God", Goll doesn't wonder why she said it.

Valhalla Scan changes some things without any need.

And obviously when I finish the review sandbox, I'm going to ask my colleague if there's any mistranslation. If anything is wrong, I ask him for the raw and the translation and I modify it.
 
Does anyone know an example of "Enhanced Senses" for Kojiro and "Martial Arts" for Adam? This is in the original profile but without any text references or examples. If they have this skill, does anyone remember anything specific to put as a justification in the profile?

Also, because exactly Adão has this on his profile: "The techniques that he copies are faster and stronger than the original user". As I remember it even copies the speed of Zeus' movements (as shown in the picture). Is this coming from Goll saying that Adam can surpass the original technique?

I couldn't really find anything that I thought was particularly noteworthy except for this:
Although this is a hype statement from the ring announcer Heimdall, he is hyped up by him to be "the ultimate survivalist, with a knack for unarmed combat". And I suppose this is supported by the fact that his Volund weapon was a knuckle duster. Since the Valkyries transform into the most fitting weapon for their wielder.

It seems like it. That's the only thing I saw stating that he surpasses the original.

I don't know if that's enough. But I don't know exactly if I should withdraw. Anyway, I'm going to add this scan there and in case anyone disagrees, just mention the CRT I'm going to make or something like that.

Honestly, who is Goll to know if Adam can actually make the strongest copied attacks? And she even said that after the Fist that surpassed time was used, so no one there should know why Zeus had his head turned and Adam was close to him.

Furthermore, Adam copies the speed of Zeus' attacks in exact order, and if that logic follows the power as well. Nor does it make sense in Adão's profile that the techniques he copies are faster, when we literally see that they are not. Adam just dodges the blows and then hits Zeus with his own techniques.

But one thing is true that whenever he was copying, he kept ahead of Zeus and had the upper hand in combat. So it could be implied that the techniques he copies are better or that Adam is really good at hand-to-hand combat.

I don't know what I should do for this specific skill.

I feel the same way about it, however, if nothing else, he might as well have it on his profile since he would probably get it for the moves he copies from Zeus, since he also keeps the time manipulation he got from doing so on his profile currently.

I agree, Goll doesn't seem like the most reliable source for this.

One thing worth noting is that Hermes actually is implied to be aware of what happened while the Fist That Surpassed Time was used, and he states that Adam copies everything a moment after Zeus moves, and considering the speeds they are moving at, Adam may very well have to be moving faster than him in order to manage that.
 
On a separate note,

I was also curious if Kojiro should get any abilities added for this moment when he appears to calm the waters in the arena.

It might possibly tie in with him doing this, as well. Not exactly sure what abilities he might get for all that, if any.

I think I'll also include him showing himself to be skilled in cobate and making a reference to a chapter of the fight, for those who want to draw their own conclusions. I plan to remove Time Manipulation as well.

Aside from what Hermes may or may not have seen, this doesn't specifically speak to him increasing the technique's power. Adam copied the blow, dodged Zeus's blow because of a divine reflex and hit him, he doesn't necessarily need to be faster than Zeus, especially when we see from the numbers that he maintains the consistency of being the same speed.

I also thought that might be it. Maybe limited air manipulation or something. I would have to ask someone else.
 
But what the hell is this imgur thing, all the stuff I put there (which is just record of ragnarok) is unaccounted (since for some reason I can't create an account in my region)

I'll have to change everything before I can continue with my revisions. And put more references just in case.

I'll wait for my current CRT to run out to do this.

Also, the links are in the profiles, so it would just be taking a link, seeing what images are in it, putting it somewhere else or against private and putting the new link in place of the previous one.
 
Does anyone know where Thor's LS calculation comes from? When I open it, nothing appears.

Well, it doesn't matter, this user made a calculation with the new size information and so on. So I'm sharing it here for more people to see.

Well, Super Goku maybe he can copy since he's a god.

And maybe Goku do Z's kaioken, since it's a technique made by a god.

Now that the latest revision is in, I need your help. There is no way for me to make an account on imgur (because of my location).

And I don't know any other place than to put images in sequence in a single link. If you know of any site that can place images in sequence, I can help you with replacing links.

From what I've seen, things won't happen until May 15th, so there's plenty of time to change each link.

I don't know, I didn't put the pictures on all the profiles. But most of the links to images on the profile of Adam, Zeus, Sasaki, Zerofuku, Heracles and Poseidon are mine and have to be changed.

Bel's has an image that I put there too.

Why in the original is it only said that he can copy gods. There is no "can copy any technique even those of the gods".

Adam only copies gods/divine techniques in the manga, yes, the serpent is a god and literally has the kanji of god on it in raw.

And there is the mutual relationship between the origin of the technique and its power.

Adam can copy the gods because he was made in their image and likeness. Adam because he was made in the image and likeness of the gods, he can copy them.

He doesn't copy the gods because he simply can, he copies because he is their image. There is no room for non-god techniques there, just as Adam was never shown copying non-god techniques and the above things were never contradicted.

Also, this has been accepted on a CRT.
