Reaper's Regenerationn should be removed.

Because neither Gameplay (Only healers have regen), Comic (Received several shots, but he never regenerated. Also, apparentally he has something under his mask, presumably a injury) nor Cinematic (He just left Winston's lab after losing) support his regen

So, it should be removed.

No, @Rep, he transformed into his Wraith Form so he could escape before getting worse injuries, he was getting some burns, true. But he turned himself into Wraith, not Winston's weapon

Well, that seems to settle the issue then.

@Aiden

Even the Overwatch Wiki describes it as Reaper being incinerated. It's not turning into Wraith Form if he's clearly have holes burnt through him.

He has burns, yes, but is not that he were actually vaporized, he did it.

I can accept Mid-Low regen from the burns (maybe), but he has can't renegate from being turned into dust, since he turned himself into it.

Even if it was involuntary, he never showed Regenerationn and Winston's weapon never was portayed as a "People incinerator".

Also, how we even know if Reaper healed himself? They never shows us that, even likely he just needed medical atention for those burns.

Also, maybe on this one I wrong, but didn't Reaper had his powers during the Overwatch headquarters destruction? If so, why he needed Mercy's atention?

@Aiden

That could be naturally chocked up to gameplay mechanics.

Reaper's cells are said to "simultaneously decay and regenerate at a hyper-accelerated rate" in his lore.

I don't think so. Despite what his Legendary Skin might tell you, it's heavily implied that Reaper's condition came some time after his climactic confrontation with Jack Morrison (Soldier: 76) when Mercy tried to save the two of them after the detonation of Overwatch headquarters. If Reaper had these powers prior to Overwatch's fall, Mercy, the organization's leading doctor who is constantly flying everywhere on the battlefield to attend to them and is constantly inspecting their physical condition would have been well aware of them and thus would not have asked "What happened to you?"

And the mask?

Ana was scared of what Reaper has in his face,it has to be and injury, it can't be other thing

Then should be clarify, like (should) on Piccolo's case, who can regen from decapitation, but can't heal scars.

Reaper can regenerate from dust (Probably because, that's his power, make himself intangible, but can't heal any other damage)

@Aiden

It ultimately changes nothing about his regen and his face will ultimately remain horrifically disfigured for the sake of plot and character, so it's not really worth mentioning.

It still doesn't change the constantly regenerating and decaying cells part, as his regen is not used in-game primarily for the sake of game balance, as having regen like Mercy wouldn't reward his gameplay style.

@Aiden

As we've stated before in the use of HP to scale characters, Lore > Gameplay most of the time.

We don't know the reason why Gabriel isn't able to regenerate his intense scarring (or whatever Ana found under that mask), but that shouldn't detract from his actual feats and what his story actually says.

I think that Reppuzan seems to make sense.

Stills, his showings are regenerating from dust just because his powers, he NEVER showed to regenerate from any minor injury

@Aiden

It's heavily implied that he drains the souls of the people he kills to facilitate his Regenerationn, as shown in gameplay by his passive and the descriptions of his victims being left as dried husks.

We could potentially add that as a weakness (needs to drain souls to activate his Regenerationn) but other than that I still think his Regenerationn should stay as is.

But his regen is like Piccolo's: Piccolo can regenerate from his head alone, but he can't regen scars or hole in his chest, and can only heal body parts if his lose them completely

So Reaper should have: Healing via Soul Absorption and Regenerationn (Mid-High) but should be clarify that not in minor injuries, only if he is turned into dust/vapor
