That "Natsuki Subaru" chapter is why Subaru is my profile pic lol. Still clearly remember going through arc 6, good times, and pretty soon it will be in anime form.

Re Zero is my fav LN because it has such good, and layered characters, and also the mysteries and world building on top. Every time I go back through the series I learn something new, ie rewathcing ep 15 of season 1, after seeing Guese in season 2.

But anyway shameless plug again for my fav Re Zero reactor. His breakdown of the op and ed was pretty interesting, I swear when this dude sees arc 6, he will call arc 12 lol.

The idea of Re Zero being cyclical is interesting, the present and past, are linked, a repetition. I too also wonder what will happen once Subaru gains all the other authorities, will be interesting to see, if anything changes.

I have actually been rewatching the series with a friend whose only ever watched s1 once like 8 years ago.

Despite having watched s1 like 5 times already, this time it hit really goddamn hard for some reason. Maybe because I was reading Arc 6 simultaneously, I realized just how well Tappei had set up everything, and how intricately he knew Subaru's character even during the beginning of the story.

Also the world building in this series is fantastic. Really, there isn't an aspect of the series I could bring up that feels subpar to me. It excels in practically every category, especially characters...

I do have one complaint about Arc 6 though and that's the ending. A lot of weird events happened towards the end, without much explanation. Louis pops up outta nowhere. The witch comes to consume Subaru. Volcanica strikes at the witch. Subaru, Rem, and Louis so happen to get randomly teleported over to the land of the wolves, leaving the others behind.

So close to perfection, but everything else in this arc was exceptional, even amongst the other parts of the story thus far, so I can forgive it...

I'm only a few chapters into Arc 7 now. So far reading this is painful. Subaru really getting the hardest time ever because of Tappei. Also, Rem is extraordinarily crafty. I was not familiar with her game.

Oh btw I finished Volume 25 guys. Best volume of the series that I've read so far. I'd even go as far as saying it is the single best book I've ever read.

It's stacked to the brim with amazing chapters: "Natsuki Subaru," "Good Loser," and "Ram" are some of the best in the entire series. Easy 10/10s. Natsuki Subaru might even be my favorite chapter in the entire series thus far. When I originally read this about 3-4 years ago that was the moment when Subaru became my favorite character ever. I have just reawakened those same feelings, having read this again.

Ram is probably my favorite woman in the series. I already liked her a lot, but reading her developments and character throughout Arc 6, my opinion of her just continued spiraling upwards. Then her name chapter hit and it was so good I used all my free time during work to read it. She's so cool!!!

And then there's Julius getting so much development in this arc as well, with an equally amazing chapter focused on him....

"Louis Arneb," "Death of the Mind," and "I ask thy Will" were also excellent. Though, I think Louis Arneb got shafted a lot in the novel version.

I am finally onto new territory. I've never fully read Arc 7, beyond just knowing the general plot of the beginning bits.

Still like 200 chapters and 5 Ex Novels away from being caught up, however.

List of S Tier Characters IMO so far: Natsuki Subaru, Beatrice, Ram, Roswaal L. Mathers, Julius Juukulius
True on all accounts...

Btw, for the sake of consistency, can we update all the pages we can to the anime artworks?

A lot of characters got some nice looking character renders for s3 so I think that'd be nice.

Also a lot of the images on the pages rn r kinda cringe mobile stuff / badly rendered.

I second this motion (I will only allow big yiddy Emilia)

Since Tanza's house-toss specifically takes a parabolic arc, it's really hard to account for the force of throwing the house without visuals. It's certainly Class M when accounted for, but it seems she may only be able to scale to the 391,902kg value until the manga or anime provides visuals.

A similar problem occurs with the fodder Chaosflame residents tossing boulders.

I also don't really know what we should do with Mezoreia's magic LS? It's possible it scales to something but it also may scale to no-one.

Some potential LS feats:
  • Reid describing the pull of a black hole as "a mere breeze."
  • Madelyn crushing an entire wall of hardened ice by just gripping part with her palm.
  • Moguro launching streets at supersonic speeds.
  • Roswaal lifting a mountain of ice with magic.

Reinhard and gang would probably be able to physically overpower it purely going from the narrative standpoint of him being the strongest and the others downscaling
(Mezoreia is also so fodder that i dont think its even a debate on if they could do so)

Roswaal gets class G with magic with the others also scaling to that
Shame we dont have a direct TK scene where someone like garf straight up resists being thrown then we could scale that physically

Stop torturing my boy Reinhard

Speaking of Reinhard, it's interesting how in the op all Subaru's friends are transparent, kind of implying Subaru is being pushed forward by the memories of them from those failed loops, meanwhile Reinhard is physical, because he is the only one who can't die.

His line about not being worthy of the Sword Saint title from episode 2 is interesting too, you can take it as Reinhard just being humble, but if you look deeply, its a window into his psyche, where he truly doesn't think he is worthy cause that title is what to his belief killed his grandmom.

Someone give this man a hug.

Gotta feel bad for Reinhard. There could be different timelines where Subaru died and Reinhard was there. Such as the slash injury. I seen some fanart of people who made it and I can see the pain in Reinhards eyes.

Wow, the Albino Gojo guy sure talks a lot. Also, I am hoping to see more of Capella next episode, she seems to have the potential to be really cool. Garfield's cool, I find his relationship with the midget cat with a name I forgot to be wholesome and cute. Oh, and my respect for Subaru went up after seeing him whip Gojo even though he did zero damage. I'd whip Gojo and get myself killed too. Kino episode, waiting for the next one.

See here if you guys want to see what happened when Sirius learned about Geuse's death, it's pretty short.

If it wasn't already obvious Sirius is absolutely insane, forgot she did this until all this discussion about her craziness....

Can Reinhard beat Regulus in 1v1?
Reinhard will have a very hard time dealing with him though since Regulus can toss him to space and stuff. But Reinhard will just return or adapt to everything.

However, I think eventually Regulus probably just gets tossed off the planet with the waterfall and is left to fall into space forever or something like that.

In character, Reinhard is unable to defeat Regulus. He'd be forced to back off after a while. Although, Reinhard isn't at risk of being outright defeated by him.

Regulus is said to be able to return if tossed into the earth or into space, but it is also suggested that Ram (with her horn) would defeat Regulus by tossing him down the Great Cascade. How this differs from being tossed into space is unknown.

Apparantly Tanpenshuu 11 is changing Roy eating Joshua to Ley eating Joshua?? This makes no sense, Roy was abusing Joshua's memories while fighting Julius in Volume 20, and Ley says this in Volume 24:
“I have been waiting for this moment, Gluttony!”

Julius’s intense attack slammed into the smirking Gluttony, but the Archbishop leaped backward, mitigating the force of the impact. He landed with his feet on the frozen wall as his gloomy voice called out.

“Whoa, don’t be in such a rush. Sorry, but we don’t share what we eat. We don’t remember you. Whatever it is, it’s something Roy did, not us, right?”

“—!”

“Well, saying it doesn’t much matter is one way to look at it. Roy aside, we don’t really have much interest in you, mister. You don’t really meet our standards for food.” –Volume 24, Chapter 4

This change is 100% because Otsuka ****** up years ago when he drew Ley instead of Roy in the shop special. This change sucks. Turns out the Otsuka tax goes beyond just middling art for the LN.

At least Roy finally gets his moment to shine in episode 54...

Wow, the memes of Roy being a fraud are not going to let up lol.

I mean people were already meming on how useless he is, this doesn't help.

Btw being meaning to change the gluttony siblings names, the accurate translators nor anyone really refer to them as Roi, Rui etc, calling them that on their profiles just leads to confusion.

Rai should probably be Lye (even though I prefer Ley).

Roi obviously should be Roy. Also can't wait for his season 3 render to drop.

And idk whether we should go with Rui or Louis. The Re:Zero Wiki uses Rui because it reflects the katakana more + is feminine, but Yenpress and WCT use Louis as it's more popular.

I'm also planning on removing Rui from both Ley and Roy's pages, and I honestly don't think she does enough to deserve a page. Spica should get one (in the future) though.

i have been on the Ley>Rai>lye train since day 1

I feel like Louis deserves her own page with the spica key because otherwise it wouldnt be a full profile, she is also smarter than her siblings i feel like

Good morning Re Zero discussion thread season 3 is real thread folks!!

Eh God is kind of vague, but it's probably 5-D based on recent stuff, it's higher dimensional compared to like infinite universes.

So yea it's power currently would be above Satella, I say currently because it is possible 1-A re zero will exist someday...
