Questions about Neutron Stars?

So I have a couple questions regarding neutron stars.

  1. What is the tensile strength of Neutron Star matter? Considering they are one of the densest things in the universe.
  2. What happens to objects that have protons make contact with Neutron star matter? I heard that it would undergo Beta Decay where positrons be converted to neutrons which emits electrons and neutrinos.

Bump, what would we say about the second question with objects that have protons hit neutron star matter? do they break down and become more neutrons? releasing neutrinos?

That would make sense considering it is one of if not the second dense thing in the universe.
