You're welcome. The pen or the sword said:Huh so atleast for minotaurs specifically it ties back to ancient mythology....Thats pretty interesting! Thanks for the info
From the scientfic standpoint I do understand that but why would they go for humans when we struggle, use weapons and flee.
If there are humans their are bound to be livestock, cattle and chickens other domesticated animals that will struggle far less then humans overall. so the argument children struggle less falls apart even further, if they wanted easy meals they'd go for the livestock.
In the end it's not issue just something that I found rather bizzare.
Yeah, that's true. But just be aware that livestock such as chickens and pigs aren't anywhere near as common as humans are (and most don't provide as much proteins and calories as humans do). A large monster such as a Minotaur would have to eat an entire farm's worth to be able to satiate their hunger for a time. As for why they still go for humans, who can fight back with weapons and such, I don't really know. I can only chalk it up to their beastly instincts going haywire out of hunger and hunting for the any nearest source of food (in the summary of Tabitha's light novel, that man inhabiting the Minotaur's body was gradually getting taken over by the beast, so beastly instincts/mindset is definitely a factor). But yeah, I'm basically as much in the dark as you are for why large fictional monsters (such as Minotaurs) would prefer to eat humans unless they're desperate enough. Then again, fear could play a role in intimidating certain groups of humans to offer sacrifices to them without needing to actually hunt down humans (these type of people exists after all) if they are intelligent enough for such, so they don't exactly have to blatantly attack randomly villages and risk getting killed off by the humans defending against or hunting them.
But it isn't an issue for you like you've said, so we don't need to dwell much on that topic.
