Pokemon: Final Evolutions Speed CRT

I'm kinda surprised this CRT hasn't received more attention since it may potentially affect dozens of Pokémon profiles.

I'll assume if this goes through, this will also upgrade the low to mid tier legendaries, high to top tier trainers and certain exceptional LC/NFE mons?

There's also abilities like Quick Feet, Speed Boost and Unburden making FTL way more consistent, BTW.

Tbh, using it would somehow imply that Tapu Bulu was for some weird reason containing itself at SoL, and this would be really weird and unfounded.
Also scaling mons to feats performed by Ash's mons has always been a dubious subject.

I dunno this upgrade is starting to look pretty shaky tbh.

That's not the case as downscaling can still be a thing. But yeah, this calc is pretty much unusable due of who's trowing the Solar Beam.

A way to get FTL tho is to search and calc any Solar Beam dodging feat performed between fully evolved mons in anime, with a bit of luck we may get such rating.

But this feat is a no-no. It would basically say "no Legendaries are purposely containing their own power to arbitrary levels because it's convenient to us", and it's obviously against our standards.

Agreed.

Wouldn’t this also imply infinite speed Lycanroc since the tapu scale to the infinite speed ratings?

Even without that, my thoughts are the same as Stryms. A feat coming from a legendary, and a high tier one at that like the Tapu, should have no business being scaled to a non legendary.

Also worth noting is that Tapu Bulu may be Massively FTL+ to Infinite, but Solar Beam as an attack is SoL

I can look into other uses of Solar Beam and see if I can get something from that if need be.

...what. It's like saying that whatever laser beam made of light trown from even an infinite speed dude is SoL at most. It's SoL if it hasn't any scaling, but we count attacks which count as SoL normally much higher if they have scalings to higher speeds.

Shouldn't we remove Poliwrath vs Jirachi Rel feat too for this reason?

Eh I think that case is more acceptable since it isn’t as if Jirachi was fighting Poliwrath. Tapu Bulu however was fighting Lycanroc, who shouldn’t have had any reason to keep up with it.

Jirachis case is also more acceptable since it’s case is just a case of a Ls attack being barely dodged while Tapu Bulu is a high tier legendary that’s monstrously high into MFTL, and has infinite speed, so trying to scale a non legendary to the speed of its attacks just makes things disgustingly inconsistent and troublesome.

I still disagree because it's well-established that Tapu Bulu wasn't fighting seriously, as this was just training (Lycanroc was going all-out, Tapu Bulu wasn't), but if necessary, I'll look into more Solar Beam feats.

Oh wait, Tapu Bulu was training Lycanroc?

I think I remember that now.
Yup, they were training for their fight with Nanu because Lycanroc got slapped in their first fight, especially because of its issue with going crazy whenever its fur got messed up.

Anyway, I found this blatant FTL feat from Solar Beam.

Is incalculable? Yes, but it's obvious that Staraptor was able to not only dodge the Solar Beam, but also crossing a greater distance than it, only that is unknown (and using the fullest height in that timeframe would give MFTL+ which would outlier regardless, but Staraptor obviously didn't).

Edit: We should look for Signal Beam too as it's stated to be SoL as well.

So, I've found a Ash-Greninja dodging Malamar's Signal Beam and calculated it at almost x3c, which I'll post later. Tho I'd suggest to OP to do this in the Introduction of the calc blog:
  • Link the feat (is on a YT vid so it shouldn't be harder)
  • Link this to prove that Tapu wasn't serious due of training and was limiting itself to regular Pokémon levels.

I’ll do those things once I’m at my computer. But basically, FTL seems consistent for final evolutions

  • Stated to be a ray of light
  • From Gen 4 is a straight beam and in anime too
  • Solar Beam, a blatantly SoL attack explodes too at impact
How's that not SoL is beyond me.

I mean, in Bleach one attack showed all qualifications, but because in one particular scene the laser showed an impact noise, the laser was disregarded to be SoL. So eh.

Anyway, I have no relevance here, so bye

The false equivalence is hilarious here.
