Pokemon Discussion Thread - Red & Blue arc

Meowscara would grow on me but for now he's seems off with that mask, otherwise nice
Quaquaval looks nice as well
Conclusion: I'm thorn between the three lel, unlike gen 8 where i never invested nor liked to the final evo until i decided to give Cinderace a try (and became the only starter pokemon that i literally like)

I finished my new blog post about the Sinnoh creation myth, it's an updated version of my previous blog with information from Legends Arceus. It has translations of the new plates from Japanese as well as translation from a statement from the 12th movie director talking about the settings behind Arceus

Ok, it seems that Paradox Pokémon are not pokémon from the past or the future, but creatures born from the imagination, from the idea of what pokémon from the past/future would be like (a third legendary is apparently involved in all this, but is not yet in the game).

I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS

BTW something I've wanted to ask. Is it Arceus who actively created the world or the Heart manifested Arceus to create the world

They never addressed that in too much detail, but with the focus that there's in regards to avatar, the physical Pokémon Arceus is a manifestation of the original heart that manifests itself as the everything that there's in the world, maybe the physiacl Arceus is the "agent of chalange" that either chalanges humanity or helps them when it's needed. But at that point, I don't see the two as separated.

Seem I didn't ask the question properly. Which is it?

1. The Heart came into existence, and from its awareness directly came Dialga, Palkia, and others

2. The Heart came into existence, and from its awareness Arceus was born, and from Arceus directly came Dialga, Palkia and the others

It seems to be option 2, as it's mentioned several times that Arceus(Pokémon) is the actual creator of the world, the one who came out of the egg specifically, an event that was repeated in Platinum. But at the end of the day, everything that exists are inner workings of the Heart that causes the world to expand as it enriches or smthn like that.

I mentioned this on your twitter but Pokémon the cosmology closely resembles Hinduism, where Brahman (Primordial Consciousness, which is literally what the Heart is) is too perfect to actually need to directly create the Universe , and so he manifests Ishvara, his manifested form, to actually create and maintain the universe, making 2 aspects.

Nirgua Brahman= The Heart that cannot really be described by anything (Apophatic). It's never directly mentioned in Pokémon but if Arceus(Avatar) is the direct Origin of all concepts including Nonexistence, and he placed himself in contrast with the absolute nothingness(Chaos) state that the multiverse was, this puts the Heart in a grey area where it doesn't fit any categories of things that exist and do not exist . This is especially true because there are even abstracts (Voice of Life) and Nonexistent beings (Shadows of Nothingness) within the multiverse that Arceus maintains and is the Origin of.

Saguna= The manifestation of the Heart that is the actual creator of the universe.

I'm not sure of what you are talking about
Because Arceus still is a way of saying the "Original One", so when they say that "it created them as avatars", as still see that as being Arceus/Heart. When we are talking like any physical manifestation, of course, that is just an avatar that isn't the whole. But I don't see difference between saying the original Heart or Arceus, they are basically the same thing in that level, it just is that humans calls that Arceus.

Not really satisfied with this answer but ehh

Real talk, now that Ash is the World Champion where could they take Ash's character next?
Paldea seems to have some pretty crazy plot lines that goes beyond simply becoming a champion. Rogue AI, Time Travelling, ExtraTerrestrial monsters, Subjective Creations of Pokemon(Paradox Forms). Third Legendary does not look like a continent level threat. That bad boi looks like something that wants to end the world. lol

They'd likely keep Ash, but maybe this time it will have to do with his visiting various points in time to solve Paldea's problems. Breathe of Fresh Air

The linked post contains a second image, which shows in-game text about this Legendary.

Unfortunately, the scan is in Chinese:

(& the Pokemon's name in the journal itself is in Pokemon world writing language. GET TRANSLATING/DECIPHERING THIS, PEOPLE.)

But the good news is, people in the comments on Twitter have already made Translation attempts. Mind, the text is full of conspicuous, black censor blocks; Whatever this journal says about this creature, a lot of it has been redacted.

Here are some of Twitter's Translation attempts I saw:
"When I was with the observation team, I felt that I saw something strange at the bottom of the crater. I wondered if [it's hidden body] was alive or not. It's outer shell was made up of multi-layered hexagons, and the shape of [it's shell] is a perfect sphere."

"?plate pokemon?when I get lost with our observe team,I saw a strange thing in the bottom of the huge pit.I even have no idea wether its a pokemon or is it a living thing. It has multiple sheild with hexagon scales, shinier than diamond, looks absolutely like ?"

1 user also did a transcription of the text (With underscores seemingly representing censored/blanked characters.):
"extrapolation in [] full text in cn: 与观测队散助时,我觉自在巨坑的底了奇的物体。我甚还道那秘体是不是可梦是否活 。它外壳由多层体构, _比宝还闪那形_直就像是圆"

Anyone here wanna try & weigh in on this?

Egg=Third legendary.

All of the paradox Pokemon are creative sketches done by people, and them being brought in only happens because they were drawn and thought to appear through the machine. It's like Jurassic Park, where the dinos made are meant to represent how humans imagined what they look like, not quite what they actually did look like back then. That's why they're called paradox The one thing that separates this egg one from all the others however is apparently it is the source of all terrastalizing that occurs in the gen, and therefore is also the source of every paradox Pokemon. So the artist depiction/how it will look when we finally see it in game is probably the most accurate to how it actually looked.

So Subjective Reality for the Egg as it is bringing all Paradox Pokemon to life from Sketches of them

That is the case.

The 3 in one Legendary(Entei, Suicune, Raikou) was also brought into existence this way, and yes, its more powerful than each of them for logical reasons as its a combination of the 3(And also its stats are higher than theirs). So this Legendary should be really powerful.

Finally got to read this completely. Very well researched. Have couple of nitpicks here and there (some redundancy on certain phrases or grammar errors), but overall nice read.

Wondering how this will affect revisions from now on.
