Why a reboot.

I feel like Pokémon is one of those series that wouldn't benefit at all from a reboot.

Well, Gen 5 is considered a reboot, and the idea of during the main story only seeing new pokémon is really good for me.

Most of the reboot-y stuff they did was gone by Gen 6. Hell, Gen 6 is the one where an actual continuity reboot happens.
