Tsuna's absorption absolutely does increase his power and speed...tremendously too.

As in he gets stomped by someone, absorbs a single casual projectile from them and starts stomping and speed blitzing them.

Tsuna is way way way more versatile than Ace. Ace doesn't get an AP and speed boost from his absorption so that's that.
