Piranha Plant Smash Bros profile

So why is that a thing? Was this agreed somewhere? Because it's in no way different enough from your usual Piranha Plant to be worthy of a Smash profile. As it stands, it's just an excuse to have a Tier 7 Piranha Plant.

Might I remind you what kind of profiles ARE allowed to have Smash profiles? Characters who were almost entirely characterized in Smash, characters who gained so many new abilities as to not resemble their original selves anymore or characters that were straight up created for Smash. And Kirby.

Piranha Plant doesn't go under any of those categories. It's more or less just a bunch of different species of Piranha Plants put in one body and buffed for Smash

So unless it was agreed somewhere for this profile to be allowed (or that we finally snapped and allowed all kind of Smash Bros. profiles), it should be deleted imo.

It shouldn't be deleted. It's to cover the Smash version. You know Smash has versions, right? Read before you just bash and scream this should be deleted.

Plant's character got a huge slew of new abilities and is way stronger than the original. Literally the only way we can get a viable plant.

It is stronger but it only has Flight and stuff in its optional equipment as new abilities, this is not enough given how all other characters gain the same or similar things.

No? Piranha Plants in Mario can do anything the Smash one can (although probably not all at once). It's just a bunch of normal Piranha Plants powers. Nothing is new here.

Meaningless. We don't make a profile for Smash Olimar just because it would be stronger. In fact, one of the unofficial reasons why we don't allow similar non-canon versions of characters is to avoid characters who are copies of the original, except stronger.

Again, meaningless. This falls into the above argument. You wanting a strong Piranha Plant doesn't give the profile more reasons to exist.

2 things, when the Smash Sonic profile was made, I just made a comment about it in the Profile Deletion Requests Thread and someone just delete it, we did agree on not making Smash profiles before, so this profile should be deleted first with questions later. The other thing is that this^ unofficial reason should be written somewhere to avoid potential frustration coming from new users.

I say "unofficial" for a reason. As in it shouldn't really be in any official pages but that's kinda why we did it in the first place, since people would be more likely to make non-canon profiles for a character if said version is stronger.

99% sure that the different Superman versions have different stories, power levels and other stuff. Not just the same character but stronger/weaker due to being in a crossover. This is nowhere near comparable.

Either way, as Efi said, it definitively should be deleted, if we didn't agree to have Smash profiles yet.

I know this is a bit unrelated, but Wouldn't Fox, Wolf, and Falco get Smash profiles? They have almost none of the abilities that they have in Smash.

Not so hot about that idea. I feel like they have too much stuff in their original series to need a Smash profile, unlike our other Smash profiles, which mostly deal with characters who had little to no abilities or develepment outside of Smash.
