The situation is this: both must solve the Rokkenjima murder mysteries from Umineko. They will each go through episode 1 to 5 similar to how meta-Battler experienced it. Meaning episode 1 will be experienced on the board first hand (without any control), and episode 2 to 5 will involve their battle with Beatrice. The red and blue truth mechanics will be introduced whenever Battler was introduced to it. Note that they are not taking the place of Battler, meta-Battler just does not exist, but Battler still exists within the chessboard (and Rokkenjima Prime/current time).
The win condition is to become territory lord, or to word it differently, determining who the common culprit of Umineko as early as possible before episode 6, or if they fail to do so, solving as many episodes as they can before they reach it. If deciding who the common killer is (to eliminate controversy, from the official solution from the manga), they must be 100% sure enough to declare it, not 60% or even 80%, as in they could explain the theme of Umineko, or deny any other theories (ex. Evatrice) within reasonable logic.
Restrictions:
1. Phoenix Wright cannot use the Magatama on any of the chess pieces, however, he is able to use it on Beatrice before episode 5.
2. All three will not have access to non-board memories like Ange's, or have any knowledge of the ???? scenes. The red truths given at episode 4 ???? by the witches will be given out after episode 4 is completed.
3. Virgilia, Ange and Kyrie will not be there to provide them with techniques like "flipping the chessboard" or the "braun tube".
4. When episode 4 TP happens, assume Beatrice will give up either way similar to the VN. At Natsuhi's court in episode 5,
The name of the game is to determine whether or not Phoenix, Naegi, or Conan have experienced enough cases to apply the logical techniques used, and if they can ask enough questions and the right blue truth rebuttals to beat Beatrice, and eventually Lambda.
