Pegasus Seiya vs Progenitus

  • 9th Sense Seiya
  • Speed Equalized
Who wins and why?

Score as of now:

  • Seiya: 0
  • Progenitus: 2 (FanofRPGs, Serpent of the Internet 97)
  • Inconclusive: 0

Progenitus seems to be 5-universe level, while IIRC Seiya could compare to beings who merely mess with ~3 universes. So Progenitus may be stronger. However the killer here is that he is basically unkillable, having type 3,4, and 8 immortality, non-corporality, and abstract existence. Even when Seiya has better offensive variety, its not enough to take down Progenitus IMO. I give this to Progenitus after a hard fight putting down Seiya.

Ok, so the score now is:

  • Seiya: 0
  • Progenitus: 1 (FanofRPGs)
  • Inconclusive: 0
I will put the updated scores on the original post.

As for Knight's question, based on Fan's response, I think the answer is no, Seiya wouldn't be able to bypass Progenitus' Type 8 Immortality.

Vote for Progenitus, the amount of protection he has is vast to say the least and will tank anything that Seiya can throw at him with him likely being able to overwelm or destroy Seiya outright very likely before Seiya could do the same.

Well Hades destroying 3 universes is just a lowball lmao. He was maintaining his dimensions so casually that they existed even why he was a just a soul without a body. Minded 9th Sense Seiya was able to contest with Apollo who is far beyond Athena herself.

Seiya is capable of fighting the gods that all have Abstract Existence and Concept Manipulation as a part of their existence.

What's the contingency on his Type 8 immortality?

All Saints can destroy Non-Coporeal entities like Ghosts and Astral Projections with their attacks. That's not an issue.

Not voting yet, but I want some answers on Progenitus.

Score:

  • Seiya: 0
  • Progenitus: 2 (FanofRPGs, Serpent of the Internet 97)
  • Inconclusive: 0
@Galaxian The only known ways of affecting Progenitus are with his own essence and cutting his acces to mana, according to his profile. He has got tons of protection, including from Reality Warping (Existence Erasure included in this one), harm, and magic (again, according to his profile), so I sincerely don't know how could the Saints harm or destroy him whether he's incorporeal of not. I'm not siding with Progenitus, I'm just trying to answer your questions about him.

@Azathoth So should this match be marked as inconclusive due to lack of info about Progenitus?

@Jokaz Well Saints can destroy the non-physical aspects of others such as their souls and minds, and the Gods of course can erase on a different level than the others. Basically, him not having a physical form isn't really a barrier for Seiya destroying him.

Seiya gaining his 9th Sense and the ability to brawl with Olympians would make him comparable in that regard.

The thing is we don't really know if Progenitus might be affected by Seiya's attacks because of him having so much protection and by the fact that we don't know much about him, like Azzy said. These reasons make me question myself why did I made this match in first place.

I'll wait for Azzy to answer my question before taking further action.

Progenitus's protection (by Protection, I mean really high resistance) is very..... interseting, as his protection makes it so you can neither target or touch him. Anything that tries to target Progenitus with hax such as Existence Erasure will be automatically negatted as soon as it gets in contact with him and anything that tries to attack him via physical hits, even if the creature is twice as physically powerful as Progenitus, he will simply absorb the hits and take no damage.

This protection also extends to Mind and Soul Attacks as this hax is common in Alara and has been said not to work against Progenitus.

Hope this helps.

See though, my issue is that Seiya has shown to be abLe to affect non-physical bodies with his attacks. Power Negation might be something, but simply being Non-coporeal will not.

That makes sense and Progenitus being Non-Corpereal shouldn't and doesn't really make a difference to Seiya. Though the thing is, Progenitus dosen't get this protection from being Non-Corpereal or Abstract, its just something he has because him being the possible creator of Alara and/or his conection to the plane of Alara So even with Seiya being able to hit non-corpereal entities in mind, it doesn't make him able to bypass Progenitus's protection, then again Progenitus has never faced an entity liked Seiya so it's mainly unclear.
