This doesn't make sense though, the epicenter is a point on the earth's surface vertically above the focus of the earth quake, how is something on the surface being pulled to the surface?

It says that the epicenter (core?)
Yeah. That still doesn't mean its not just the energy. Boros shook all of City A by powering up. Energy can effect the environment in OPM
Why would it explode the entire area?
It triggered volcanic activity and lifted the ground up. Combined with Orochi just saying he's pulling energy he's probably just pulling energy.

That can still be done by orochi's tail and that sphere still being energy, correct me if I'm wrong.
no because the tail may have caused only the first earthquake (although I don't agree with the fact that the tail is the cause of the earthquake)
and the energy cannot be the cause of the following earthquakes because the heat takes a long time to transfer and the scene happens too quickly for that to happen

The tail is also effecting the mantle while ascending back to the surface pulling up the core, it's not like it's gonna make a huge earth quake going in but do literally nothing coming out.

Because a ball of 200 Gigatons of thermal energy is rushing towards the surface mach 3000
you are ignoring the most basic laws of physics!
the speed at which it is moving is the reason why it cannot be the cause of the earthquake!
I have already said it 1000 times but I repeat it:
the heat needs time to transfer to the surrounding environment!

But doesnt energy have no mass to affect the enviromental in that way?
How does Boros' energy effect City A despite having no mass? How does Cell shakes the planet with ki despite having no mass? Energy is shown to effect the environment in OPM. Its not that weird.

The feat is ignoring the laws of physics, we just got to roll with what we have to get a number for it. The thread generally agrees with the downgrade. At this point we're deciding to use the Low 6-B or 6-A end of the calc.

1) that is not a sensible reason to ignore what I am saying, if you ignore the laws of physics then it makes no sense to do calculations because those are the bases with which you perform the calculations!
2) opm's planet may just be that tough

if you ignore the laws of physics for heat
then following your logic we should ignore the earthquake calculation as the formulas you are using are based precisely on the laws of physics

This actually makes sense, heat can't transfer like that to cause such a massive earth quake. The thing that is pulling the mantle up has to be the tail, since even once that huge chunk reaches the surface, it doesn't blast through the crust, but it's all absorbed into orochi while the crust below is relatively fine.
2) opm's planet may just be that tough
nooooooooooooooo

The point is that Orochi is pulling that "energy" from the Core, which is not Boros, neither Cell, it is just a real thing that exists, according to the logic, he is just pulling heat, which is energy, which has no mass, and ignoring law of physic, the feat is invalid

if you ignore the laws of physics for heat
I'm saying that we have precedent of high energy objects shaking the Earth in OPM. In this example we have another high energy object being dragged by a tail that's causing earthquakes.
the feat is invalid
Sure. Its still High 6-C for the energy absorption, but we can discount the Earthquakes as breaking physics like we do with most black holes I guess.

What? Ignoring some laws of physic but wanting to apply it in the same calc? How is it valid? And how do we treat black holes?

Ah yes, the legendary 4-C durability Earth-Sized Planet. The rarest of creatures.

Not the way I expect Boros to become 4-B but here we are
toriko's planet is so resilient and i have never seen anyone criticize it
following your logic
the bad metal mace should have broken every time he uses it as well as all the weapons of the s-class heroes, given the energy levels involved in their attacks

toriko's planet is so resilient
Toriko's planet dwarfs Neptune and has like four statements backing its toughness. The OPM planet has.... nothing.
Ignoring some laws of physic but wanting to apply it in the same calc? How is it valid?
The energy from the sphere would still be valid. As its unrelated to everything regarding the earthquake. Which is why I'd still be valid even when discounting it shaking, it would just mean that Orochi is only High 6-C after absorbing the Earth's core and superior to Goketsu in his base.
And how do we treat black holes?
We don't. They shatter physics or disobey physics in nearly every medium that they appear in, so we ignore stuff with them without hard evidence that they're at least semi-realistic.

No sense btw, we assume that earth = IRL earth, sun = IRL sun, galaxy = IRL galaxy, but not black hole? I understand that some cases in fiction, black holes are treated as portals, however, it shouldnt be treated like that in most of cases in thr wiki

but not black hole
Yes. Well yes when the characters interact with one in a way that makes no sense.

Prime example would be CW Supergirl's blackhole that didn't even destroy the building it was released in

So Orochi the guy that made the feat said he is pulling energy and a random monster made a vague statement about the earthquake coming from the centre of earth and you want to go with the monster over the one who performed the feat? Lol you must not really like this downgrade

I mean, orochi literally pulled it from the centre of the earth, so, yeah, it is coming from the centre of the earth

I posted to early there. I added more stuff to my statement

Anyways on topic we have full mod support and the majority of user support. 6-A seems like the most generally agreed on term, if it is I'll just close this and apply everything today.

Hold on don't add it yet, there are arguments against this, let this go for a little bit.

the phrase spoken by orochi does not refer to his attack
more precisely he says that he absorbs energy from the planet as a kind of nourishment since the sacrifices of psykos are not enough for him anymore

the sentence said by the monster refers specifically to the attack by orochi
