I don't think Oda has ever made a depressed/vigilante type of character... You know like the ones in dc or marvel where the are conflicted with themselves and everything (Like Batman, Hulk and them)

That'd be cool, but the 3 guys in one body theory, the cerberus thing, or something else having to do with 3, makes more sense imo, considering the 3 skulls on the flag, the 3 guns, the 3 beard strands, the 3 blades his old weapon had, his birthday being the 3rd, his height starting with 3, his pre-TS age starting with 3, and the ability to get multiple DFs, as well as the general trend of trios in One Piece. He might be like that though. We ever see him at night?

I don't think Luffy ever outright tanked an attack from Kizaru. These are all the hits Kizaru landed on Luffy, and only 2 of them were direct
On the other hand, Kizaru tanked several of Luffy's attacks.
