Well, he thought two clones was a pathetic amount, and given his Senju chakra reserves, he could theoretically get decent results with it.

I guess I should've said "he can't use it to the same degree as Naruto", but yes he can use a much limited form of the clone training. And for all we know, that may be how he made so much progress in the last 15 years.
Might actually be viable for him only after the War Arc because there's no Sharingan constantly sucking his chakra anymore.

Who is this person?

Uh, however, Orochimaru never contradicts that Hiruzen's finest hour was the strongest Hokague, knowing how strong Madara and even Hashirama were and that Kishimoto openly said that he was the strongest Hokague in Datobok and the manga and we have no anti -feats for what was prime hiruzen
Not contradicting =/= agreeing, especially when the subject never got brought up in the war

Again, Kishimoto did not openly call Hiruzen the strongest Hokage. It can be interpreted as such, but the statement could also just be saying Hiruzen was revered as the strongest Hokage, which we already know.

Something interesting to keep note of is the fact that Hiruzen was the most popular Hokage by a long margin, the people adored him apparently (at least for most of his incredibly lengthy reign), so it's possible his reputation has a bit of bias/glaze/propaganda thrown into it as is often the case with super popular people who get placed on pedestals.

So when it comes to Itachi’s Statements about him vs Jiraiya or Kakashi vs Kisame in Part 1, it’s taken as he is an unreliable narrator because of wanting to protect the Leaf?
Definitely. Jiraiya isn't surviving a fight with Base Healthy Itachi, let alone Itachi with his MS. Kisame could have legitimately gotten stronger though since he does regularly spar with Itachi as shown in Storm Generations which has Canon info.

However, the thing about the strongest Hokague, both something Kishimoto mentions and something within the universe by villagers, yes, not just a rumor, Orochimaru also believes it, someone who seems to have regard for the first two Hokagues.

Orochimaru never says that Hiruzen is the strongest Hokage.

Maybe so, although there is this interesting statement which could lend credence to the idea

Could just refer to him being the strongest of the Five Kage tho
According to the scaling in Minato's article titled How Strong Is Sick Itachi, Itachi wins without difficulty.
I assume you mean mine?

Yes, according to your scale, Itachi was 10 times stronger. Of course, I don't know if your opinion on the MS amp has changed.
If you mean than Base Jiraiya, yes (my opinion on the MS amp has actually improved as the raws say it's a many times amp rather than several). Although I don't agree with the unconventional method I used anymore as idt AS Naruto~Base Jiraiya anymore
