Is it possible for you to give me an example of when the manga references the anime?

Sumire is an anime character first, she was introduced in the first arc of Boruto (the anime) and later made her debut in the Ao arc in the manga, with the manga directly referencing the events of the anime and her leaving the ninja program to become a scientist. later on they also reference when they went to the mist village during the academy era, this is a reference to the second arc of the Boruto anime.

He thinks he can beat Juubito with Sage Mode. Madara on his own scales to Sage Mode Hashirama, so basically what that means is SM SM Hashirama>Juubito, not taking into account the fact that senjutsu is effective against JJs.
