Stealth Mastery is useful for Nightmare, especially in Central Park, and being non-organic means he'll probably take a bullet better than most foes, and being mostly invisible is really useful.

...But bullets tend to do piercing damage, and his gun has some really impressive destructive feats (of hilarity) to back up the fact that they should still do decent damage if not blow Nightmare to pieces. Plus the MWNN is such a fantastic sharpshooter that giving away just his eyes is probably enough for him to land several good kill shots.
