My Hero Academia General Discussion Thread #18

These types of uninspired, obtuse posts have always existed and are only amplified in frequency and attention due to the manga's conclusion.

It's pointless to engage. Carry on if it's getting to you.
Nah this is on a whole nother level. I have never seen something like this happen to any other Main Character at such an extent. It is also extremely sad seeing Ochaco being characterized as some sort of slût who's being passed around by the rest of the guys in the class.

The announcement on August 5th better be a sequel. Or even one small extra chapter, that's all he needs to do to fix this. Anything else would be disappointing ngl

I was wondering, what kind of premise would you want if a sequel is made ?

I would like the story to go international now that we are pros. It's allows to cut down the main cast and introduce new heroes and villains. A International League of Villains made from the strongest villains around the world sounds like a Rad setup.

Yeah given hero society for Japan has changed the have barley any criminals now.

Now the USA on the other hand, their number one hero who was probably the strongest there has been dead for 8 years

I wonder, why was Deku not a Hero for 8 years ?

First the suit taking 8 years to make is BS. All Might got his suit made in the war. A few months max. But let's say that the Suit had to take 8 years to make.

So why is he not a quirkless hero. Hell we have a whole All Might moment where he say that Deku can be a hero even without a quirk. So why not go Knuckleduster style till he gets the suit. He would have way better resources that Kunckleduster had.

Just keep giving Hatsume ideas and she will make it since she never stops inventing. Just go with the Arkham Batman tool kit. If Mineta can be a pro hero, Deku with Batman gear 100% can do it,

No it's 8 years to get the funding for it, remember all mights power armor cost all his money from his decades of being the number one hero

He still had OFA for a few years. He probably finished school and had a bit of time with the Quirk, then might have just accepted it was gone and decided to go all in on teaching later. He probably found it better to be a teacher than a Quirkless hero when he feels the power going away and has already fulfilled his dream.

Same goes for the suit. They all don’t become pros until they’re out of UA, so I’d assume it’s closer to 5 years of development when they all have stable paychecks. Remember: All Might spent ALL of his money as the number 1 hero for 20 years making that suit/car with less time, and he likely started doing that ever since he first lost OFA from beating AFO. This is 20+ high ranking heroes + Melissa + Mei + anyone else who wants to make Deku a way to fight like he used to, all collabing on a project that is meant to last him not a single fight or a few months but the rest of his life for 40+ years.

The improvements in technology also probably had a hand in the timeframe since people would have to get used to it or make breakthroughs and change things.

Also as Deku says, he felt he could use his experience to help guide others. He still wants to be a hero, but with his view on himself as Quirkless, he values helping others over it.

It’s his friends providing the suit makes him realize that no one wants him to stop there. He should get to continue that dream beyond teaching, and stand beside all of them in every fight or scenario they face.

The funding should not be a problem if the public helped. Although since Japan's economy went to shit post war so I guess the public won't give a huge sum. But since the manga confirmed redevelopment will be done in a short time, especially with foreign aid.

So by the time Izuku graduated, the public should be back to normal. Even a fraction of minimum wage for the greatest Hero of Japan would instantly cover the cost. 120 million people can manage 1200 million with just a 10$ dollar donation, not to mention all the big businessmen.

Also I get why he chose to be a teacher, but the First Quirkless Hero (official) would have been a way better path to motivate the masses.

Is every single person in all of Japan expected to fund a super suit though? Like yeah, by the time economy stabilized, Deku would be a household name, But class a were developing it in secret. Kinda hard to have a secret if you’re setting up massive donation campaigns for the super suit that Deku is gonna debut in.

You think public knowledge of the ridiculously high tech support suit wouldn’t go absolutely insane and cause innumerable more problems? The suit is also intended to collect data from his fights, likely so they can make even more of them as All Might says. And again, we do not know how long they have been funding it. 5 years is the MAX amount of time, when in reality, it very easily could have been 1-2 years since Bakugo is the one that’s at the heart of it. It would have to have been created when they were all established pros with their own lives relatively sorted, and that takes time.

This was a personal matter for them. They wanted to help him get back on his feet as a hero, for his dream, rather than settle for less. I think you’re making a lot of assumptions.

Also why would a Quirkless hero motivate the masses when the masses have Quirks. Quirkless heroes don’t do anything for society, they just do something for other Quirkless people, who are incredibly rare. It could inspire those with weaker Quirks to be heroes maybe, but that’s not exactly gonna be a good thing if they neglect their Quirks for equipment.

The suit is a gateway to many things, as All Might says the data from his fight with AFO opened many possibilities. We are simply seeing the start of those possibilities become real with Deku spearheading it, born from Bakugo’s wish to continue competing with him. We don’t know the development time, what the suit can do, what its limits are, how much it cost, ANYTHING, other than that Class A funded it for an unknown amount of time and that it is massively upgraded from AM’s suit.

if you followed any long running ish shonen or any moderately popular manga you know shit like this is par for the course.
cant wait to see the JJK fallout when the series ends as well lol
Tbh JJK fans need to be humbled because they're gassing tf out of their anime.

Some of them deadass think Gojo is just as, if not, more iconic than Goku.

if we did get sequel assuming Hori supervises it (he aint drawing a sequel himself thats for sure) do you want it to pick up where 430 left off or another timeskip ahead or maybe the time between 429 and 430
Either of those is fine.

It can be a sequel series or maybe even a movie, because I wouldn't be surprise if we get a fifth one.

I’d honestly like another little time skip, maybe 3-5 years when Deku has solidified himself, and then pick the story up from there with the new average hero life being disrupted. Would also let people like Dai be full fledged heroes, so we’d really see the “next generation” that grew up with Deku as their hero getting a real understanding of his hardships alongside him.

Man people are calling Deku a cûck and making edits of Ochaco with Bakugo and Iida. Why couldn't horikoshi just confirm the relationship he was building up for so long. Never been more sick looking at Twitter. The hate is insane. They're acting like Ochaco forgot about him because he's quirckless. I can't see Deku being treated like this. Looking at those multiple tweets with hundreds of thousands of likes really makes me dislike the final chapter. It really makes no sense why Horikoshi did this. I hope the announcement on August 5th fixes this somehow.
Hopefully we get something like Naruto the Last.

I hate seeing Ochako get slandered like this and get used like a tool to spread nonsense just cause a ship wasn't confirmed. In the end while people had predicted that Bakudeku's would be the ones throwing the shitstorm, this ending wound up digging out an even more disgusting crop of folks.

Ngl some of them are kinda funny
I think so too.
I'll admit here on out that I didn't really like the ending much, opposed to 99% of the people here who mostly likes 99% of MHA.

But the general reaction you'd see on the internet is so detached from actual MHA content that I cannot really take them seriously.
The complaints/memes do not reflect what happens in the manga, and it's mostly people making stuff up. I don't have to care about people writing mini-fanfics.

I was wondering, how was spinner allowed to publish a book supporting a terrorist Organization. Also have we been reading that book. Would explain the insane amount of Leniency the story gives the villains aside from Chisaki because Spinner hates him .

Thinking about it. It’s quite insane how weird wording on the initial leaks (where people think 1-A ditched him) + agendas has lead to Deku’s reputation being beyond unsalvageable at this point. People getting 50k+ bangers on MHA repeatedly off of such basic slander.

Although for me it looped from being dumb into partially being funny via sheer absurdity (Although get the **** jokes away from me)
