My Hero Academia General Discussion Thread #18

Him being so excited actually leads me to think her and Overhaul aren’t with AFO though, at least not like he’s thinking. They might have their own agenda and he’s going to be so disappointed lol

All might better be alive I mean he probably will that thing looks like a bat mobile
And I wonder what the hell Overhaul is going to do here
He seems out cold although I’d love Deku to have a conversation with overhaul again
Also appreciate how chill Deku was here about the situation and not just freaking out
 
I mean his GPS signal flat out disappeared and the bullet she was holding looked pretty damn long so I'd be shocked if it still operates

Deku will probably be disappointed if he finds out they aren't with AFO considering how hyped he was.

I'm thinking the lady might still be connected to AFO while Overhaul himself probably wants to get to his pops. Maybe pull him out of the coma.

I have a gut feeling the lady in exchange for helping him out overhaul said he’d be willing to help her to some extent
Overhaul has always been the type of guy to want to repay those he’s indebted to
I see no other reason why overhaul would be here with no arms
 
Kaminari is one of those characters who if he ever gets a boost, he will be insane.

I'm hoping he gets the same treatment as Tokoyami or Kirishima in the future in terms of power-ups.
 
I would wager money that quirk awakening and quirk singularity are going to be the plot McGuffins that significantly boost the power scale in the series over the next few years

Wonder how long before we get time/reality manipulating quirks or the series version of omega level mutants

Also I wonder if after the Shiggy/AFO story line is wrapped up if the next major focus will be on the quirk doomsday theory

All the notable characters combat speed or reactions of those who are upscaled to Supersonic+?
if so then Shishida counts he literally fights Kaminari close up maybe Ibara too

And the faster high tier characters with more emphasis on speed that aren’t hypersonic like 8% Deku and Iida without Recipro Turbo
It would kinda be wack for Kaminari to be out speed them in a fist fight
 
The current Supersonic+ characters are apparently upscaled far higher than the Supersonic calc, so they're baseline Supersonic+ (Mach 2.5)
 
Well I’ll be darned, she is with AFO and has an additional quirk, Air Walk. Nice.

Her quirk, Rifle, is pretty cool and creative. Also, assuming she shot at Deku from her max range of 3km, that would be a Mach 8 bullet since he barely reacted to it with Danger Sense before catching it. Then she shoots the second one, which curves, and breaks his gauntlet while also hurting him. She strong as hell, like he’s getting excited for, for being able to hurt and have bullets faster than 30%. Guess you shouldn’t expect less from someone that trained Hawks.

Really excited to see the rest of this fight. Deku got hurt first and his gauntlet is messed up, but he’s still got some tricks up his sleeve to deal with her I’m sure. Just let that brain go to work boyo.

It did, which is why he caught the first bullet. They’re faster than his 30% though, so even if he precogs them, he can’t move his body in time to reliably react. And unlike people, he has nothing to analyze to predict on such short notice.
 
He caught one of the bullets. They are massive but got hit by the other one which got curved around to hit him. Also those bullets are massive considering he caught one with two hands and pack a lot of power based on how far they pushed him. The second bullet also completely tore through his mid gauntlet and left a pretty big bruise on his skin.
 
I’m wondering if he’s gonna have a kinda shoot out with the Second User’s quirk. They both can fly too so this is going to be very interesting to see. I also wonder if he might amp his percentage a bit. Lot of things that can happen in this fight, after all its just starting.
 
Hold up, she's Hawk's old superior?? I originally thought this woman's quirk wouldn't be too combat practical since it kinda looked like she needed her elbow gun to be stationary in the last chapter, but clearly I was wrong. AFO giving up airwalk was also a bit interesting considering it seemed to be one of his main quirks, but maybe he just had doc garaki make a clone quirk which he then took alongside the one he already had maybe?
 
AFO's quirk monopoly always intrigued me so much. He was a genius to befriend garaki to help him do this shit. That old fart is practically the reason that the league even still exists right now in all honesty.
 
It's not that the bullets are faster than him. It's just she's able to curve the trajectory of them, so even if Deku does react, he can't fully avoid them.
 
Side note; she's about 1km away from Deku, and she's able to fire a bullet at him before Danger Sense even goes off. That would take some insane speed.
 
She can basically fire it nearly that distance before even precognition on top of superhuman reactions can go off. That's crazy.
 
Using average human reaction time, anywhere from 4000 m/s to 8000 m/s, or Mach 11.66 to Mach 23.32 (Hypersonic+)
 
Well that's consistent with where 30% should be since he can move to catch the bullets. Honestly the speed scaling has become more consistent over time.
 
Also, something I've noticed, but shouldn't Danger Sense also give Deku Extrasensory Perception? The sensing/detection part of it works as a "sixth sense" while the precog is a part of it since it activates before things happen. So he should have both no?
 
We still don't know a lot about it now but so far it has two aspects, time and distance. On time, he can sense danger before or as it occurs. On the distance aspect, at least the last chapter, it allowed him to sense danger or crimes happening hundreds of meters or possibly even kilometers away.

Her quirk allows her to shoot every bullet in the world right? I'm assuming this is just down to large caliber ammo.

Her name is even the Name from a riffle used by the USSR.
The fastest Bullet in the world moves at Mach 4.
