My Hero Academia General Discussion Thread #18

When this season is over, should we make a tab/profile for Final Form AFO (AKA when he’s possessing Shigaraki)? Feels kinda weird for him to not have a profile.

it's my favorite form but mate that's just complete shigaraki weakened. we even use his scaling for shiggy
It could be a tab for Shiggy instead then.
Final Form AFO key when he dies after 3 minutes of breathing
He does get an extended fight scene against the heroes though, surviving attacks from Endeavour and Shoto and having his attacks described as brutal. Plus we already have profiles for Eri and Kota who have a total of 0 fight sequences and no proper feats either.

Tbf Eri's profile is practically just an optional equipment for Deku to heal soul damage

I don't understand why they're keeping this quiet, but it felt criminal to me to remove the line "All for One." In the original, he says that after his brother's death, it's time to pursue the empty and meaningless mission of world domination. In the anime, his monologue was shortened, leaving only that he continues his mission together with the world, and nothing about that goal now being meaningless after losing his brother. This is an important character trait of "All for One" that we sorely missed. He didn't want to rule the world alone. He never even wanted to do that. It was all for his brother. He brought his achievements to him for "judgment." His dream took shape in such a way as to be his brother's equal. He gave him his Quirk, saying he loved him, violating his own principle. "I only give what I know will benefit me" became "I gave you something knowing I'll get nothing in return." He is his most precious and beloved possession, without whom he is nothing, and he wanted to rule the world only with HIS BROTHER, sharing that with him. All his hatred for All Might, Bakugo, Kudo, and Deku stemmed from the fact that they were directly or indirectly responsible for his loss of his brother. That's why he said that without his brother, his goal is empty and meaningless. By removing this short line, the viewer might think that losing his brother isn't such a big deal, and that All For One truly wants to take over the world, but in reality, it's quite the opposite. He's simply a lonely man. Removing this line is criminal.

Having finally gotten around to watch up to Ep4, I don't think I ever actually looked at Stain's death scene. I wasn't aware that the dude was durable enough to get sent through several buildings not unlike Yuji Itadori.

He still mentions his brother tho at least in the version I watched

He mentions his brother in my version as well. It's not about mentioning his brother, but rather that he doesn't call world domination a futile goal after losing his brother. This is an important distinction. The anime version doesn't mention that world domination for All For One is actually futile and meaningless without his brother, which directly implies that world domination was only necessary when his brother was with him. Without his brother, there's no point in taking over the world. He wanted to rule with him, not without him; it was all done just so his brother would be with him. The anime version makes the brother's return a secondary goal, as opposed to what it was in the manga.

In the version I watched he does say this tho. He says he’s continuing on to his pointless goal or smth.

Big 2025 and people still think guns can kill most MHA heroes. The whole guns being absurdly powerful in anime was brought up again with Gachiakuta.

It's quite weird what in the Boys everyone and their mother is bulletproof but a low wall level punches hurt them. Meanwhile in MHA you can tank being thrown with enough force to make a Hellfire missile blush but the good ol London handshake will do you in.

Looking at Deku's profile, I'm not sure his 45% should scale to High 6-A:

1. IIRC I don't remember it ever being confirmed that it was his 45% that injured incomplete Shigaraki, in the scan it doesn't even look like his 45%.

2. He only beat Muscular by hitting a weak spot in his muscle layers, and sending him flying =/= scaling to him.
Might make a CRT
