Most Overrated Anime/manga ever

When I watched it (forced to) with my older sister, Black and White actually made Team Rocket capable and threatening.

But then I guess they said '**** that", and made them a bunch of idiots again.

Idk why but the only seasons I liked were Advanced Battle and Advanced Challenge(And the movie with Latios and Latias)
 
Yeah, apparently competant villains in pokemon is a big no no. Otherwise, nintendo might lose its fanbase ovo Favorite team, which I guess because I like space is Team Galactic

Enjoyable =\= good imo And tbh, most of pokemon anime is enjoyable, but bad.

Still get flashbacks of pikachu losing to a level 5 snivy ovo
 
X/Y are unfortunately the best by far (why is it the one generation I didn't play at all wound up being the best).

Advanced series is good for primarily one reason: May ovo.

The Manga that sexualizes 10 year old girls (I'm not even kidding, look at the chapters with Green/Blue. The American version received...undertstandable censorships), and totally kills Pokemon in the early chapters without batting an eye?

@TA. Actually, none of the protags are 10 after the Red/Blue saga. I don't think Green (the thief girl who may or may not have heavily inspired an OC of mine, now that I think about it, for those who read Japanese and know her as Blue) ever was 10 on screen
 
Also, the Rival brutally attacks a Kangaskhan Mother, severly burning it, while it's protecting its child.

Well it depends on which region you look at. Fairy Tail is very popular across Asia. In the west, no so much.

And I agree on Berserk. Probably the most overrated Seinen.
 
FT was actually incredibly popular, but it got less during years cause Hiro started with friendship speech and fan service with GMG arc.

Oh my god! (Actually you might be right, I dont live in asia. In the west tho, everyone hates fairy tail. Dont know why)

If we are going by region though, then definitely One Piece is overrated in Asia. I like it alot, my favorite shonen next to Magi. The amount of One Piece cosplays or merch I see in asia is ridiculous tbh.

Honestly, if I planned to get into a seinen, probably be Bastard! (Even though it is also very edgy, I can still enjoy the setting.)

I will concede it was 'overrated' maybe in the 2012-2014 era. That is when it was super popular, everyone liked it for some reason.

Fairy Tail has its issues. It does. It has problems. But people give it too much hate for the very same shit that a majority of other shounen also pull off. Is it because Fairy Tail takes shounen tropes and throws them in your face a lot more?

I think maybe it's because it doesn't try to do anything different with them?

Nothing's perfect. And while I am not a fan of Fairy Tail, I don't think it's good. But just because it's bad, doesn't mean there's anything wrong with liking it. There's a LOT worse things. (Like people somehow liking Boku No Pico)
