Most Overrated Anime/manga ever

^ As a guy who liked the TV series, I agree. However, IMO this can be said about practically any deconstruction anime, like Evangelion or Re:Zero.

RWBY is not an Anime; it's an Anime inspired cartoon, similar to Avatar, Teen Titans, Samurai Jack, Code Lyoko, and Xiaolin Showdown. All of which I do like.

Anyway, I'm going to have to consider Bleach the most overrated Anime/Manga. Aside from the generally toxic fanbase and wankers, it's got quite a few errors. To be fair, most of the characters are actually pretty cool; especially, Chad, Kenpachi, and the bald guy whom I forgot his name. But then the big three; Ichigo, Aizen, and Yhwach, are who I've got problems with. Ichigo just feels like a generic ripoff of Cloud Strife IMO, only he's several times more annoying. Additionally, he gets his butt kicked a lot and cries everytime he loses a fight.

Aizen, while he is a badass on paper and fighting style, but once again, he in the end, is quite overrated. He also sort of feels like a ripoff of Naraku, except he isn't even a tenth of a villain he is. Everything Aizen did and all the brainwashing in stuff, Naruku did better. However, I still sort of like Aizen, because he is still pretty cool, and at least he's ripoffing my personal favorite Manga/Anime villain of all time out of all characters, just not as good as his fans make him out to be. However, his biggest flaw is not being the final antagonist of Bleach, which I would have liked the series much more if they ended it there, and leaving room for the grand finale of failure.

Yhwach! I don't know where to start, but his name is a big one. It sounds like a vomit sound effect. I know it's a pun for YHWH, but it still sounds like someone vomited when they are in the middle of pronouncing it; wouldn't be surprised if that actually happened and inspired the idea. And of course, he's just a generic, walking NLF that people just to exaggerate about how powerful he really is. And not only that, but his obvious limits are consistently shown, but everyone calls those PIS; when the "PIS" are actually far more consistent and accurate than his NLF statements.

Anyway, I don't hate the manga, but it's pretty obvious that Bleach is my least favorite Shounen franchise. I do like just about every Shounen franchise, but the HST to a lesser extent, and Bleach is the only one I don't really like; albeit I neither like nor dislike it. However, I do really dislike Bleach's Anime adaptation; just wayyyy too much filler than makes Inuyasha season 4, Rurouni Kenshin Season 3 look like masterpieces in comparison. Even the F'ing boat Naruto filler was much more enjoyable than Bleach's fillers.

Anyway, I'll always be a bigger fan of more classic Anime and Manga like Dragon Ball, Rurouni Kenshin, Berserk, Inuyasha, and my favorite is Yu Yu Hakusho. I really should look into Jojo and Saint Seiya though.

Animation or comics do still need to be made in Japan and/or by Japanese people in order to be considered Anime/Manga. I know Anime is technically not actually a Japanese word, but more so a pun for animation. But it is still considered official that is has to have to be native to Japan in order for it to count as Anime/Manga. Cartoons and comics made in US, Europe, or even China or Korea, it's simply called Anime inspired cartoon and not necessarily an Anime.

Legit though, anime is a type of animation, RWBY is 3D.
Objectively, it's not an anime.
Does that make Avatar: The Last Airbender and Korra an anime?
Hyperthink
Talking about this make me think about this video
Avatar is an Anime. F*** You. Fight Me
Avatar is an Anime. F*** You. Fight Me.

That being said, there actually good 3D cgi anime too sooooooo

Avatar, Korra and Rwby is a Anime!

F@#k you! FIGHT ME!

Really? Naruto's fillers can put me to sleep and even give me headaches. Bleach's fillers I actually enjoyed.

Well, the Zanpakuto arc was was actually pretty interesting tbh, and the one that had Nozomi Kujo was okay as well, but the Rurichiyo one was probably the worst Anime filler I've ever seen; as with the Don Kanonji ones. The Bount one was also another one I disliked, albeit better than Rurichiyo

Another problems with the Bleach fillers is how very out of place they are; they make it way to obvious that the fillers are non-canon. Like Ichigo is suddenly back home with no explanation at the beginning of certain fillers, but back in Hueco Mundo as soon as the filler ends as if none of that ever happened. Naruto's fillers are different; they at least make sense that it could be possibilities of what happened between scenarios.

It pains me as a fan of the series to recognise One Punch Man as Overated.

Aside from the not so cool fanbase and the wankers. It has other issues.

First and probably most obvious.... Saitama.....

To be fair most of the characters are quite alright. Though.....

If you strip away the whole joke premise of his character, witch has kinda worn off by now. He is honestly incredibly bland, has barely a shred of personality. Barely any motivations. And in my opinion, should pass the role of main character to another character like Genos or hell, even Garou. Don't even get me started on his generally toxic fanbase and wank that exceeds the likes of Yhwach and Alien X.

At this point in the manga, I feel like Garou is a vastly more interesting character than Saitama. And one thing I can give a thumbs up to the manga is focousing on developing Garou.

The world building in the series leaves much to be desired. All of the cities and locatons are named City X. City Y, etc. But... why? That is just lazy. I mean.... Even Akame ga Kill does worldbuilding better than that.

The series is kinda dragging on needlessly. It started off as a joke, and has started to gradually take itself more seriously. That won't work out in its favor if it keeps Saitama in the spotlight long term.

I don't dislike One Punch Man, quite the contrary obviously. Nor do I dislike Saitama. I just feel like he could be handled a bit better.

Saitama's still my favorite character and I personally could watch him one-shot flashy, over-the-top-powerful-looking villains and creatures for as long as the anime goes on but I've learned I'm in the minority on both accounts.

[There still more]

How many times do I have to say it? Cory in the House is overrated. Cory is an emo wimp who keeps refusing to follow his father's orders and get in the White House, Meena is a bitch who throws a tantrum every time Cory defeats a Senator, and Newt is just a waste of a character.

Phil of the Future is a much better anime by the same studio in my opinion. Phil goes through so much character development. He starts off with zero self confidence and always runs away to Seth, until he dies at the end of episode 8. Sure, Phil becomes emo after a while and thus his mecha won't work without him, but after episode 11, Phil takes SERIOUS levels in badass, and in episode 23, he's so manly he ******* invents teleportation to punch a suicidal Curtis in the face. Not to mention Seth is an awesome older brother figure to Phil, and, admit it, you cried when he died and Curtis had to pilot his mecha.´╗┐

I have the right mind to abuse my authority and ban you for that insult.

Most Overrated Ever.
I can't believe that they just forgot about the scrappy doo arc, and how revolted I got when Scooby Doo get's all the attention when Shaggy's name comes first.

Second of all, I must say that while the idea was interesting, the fact that Scooby is a descendant of some kind of God creature was barely used an as such, it was just disappointing.

And third of all, when is Shaggy noticing that he has a harem waiting for him, I mean it.

He has a hippy alien, a magician, a chinese acrobat, need to say more.

Shaggy is almost like Kirito with his recent power ups, but at least Kirito had received more seasons than Shaggy.

This is all your undoing, ningen

Damn, i disappointed in writer.

I'm going to expand upon my thoughts on Kill la Kill.

I feel like the show tries wayyyy too hard to be funny. Most of the times it tries to be fiuny it falls completely flat. In fact. Series like Akame ga Kill and My Hero Academia made me laugh way more.

The fan service gets old really fast. And I find myself groaning whenever the transformation sequences occur. I'm no prude. It is just annoying.

The animation is honestly pretty..... meh. Nothing special about it......

The characters......

I kinda like the character designs though.

Ryuko is honestly pretty cool. IMO full of personality, and actually interesting. The others however.....

Mako. All I can say is she's annoying as hell, and my head hurt whenever she had screen time. I watched the English Dub so her voice was like nails on a chalkboard to me.

Satsuki through most of the series she has barely any personality, quite bland overall. This changes a little bit towards the end, but not nearly enough. Saitama actually has more personality, quite ironic.

Ragiyo is a cliche generic "Hurrr durrrr I'm evil just for kicks hurrrrrrr" villan with no redeeming qualities or depth.

Everyone else is just..... meh.

I tried to get into Gurren Lagann. But I was getting the same vibes from that show, so I dropped it three episodes in.

Overall I'd say Kill La Kill was rather mediocore.

They both have pretty bad fillers, my biggest problem with Naruto fillers arnt the content themselves but their timing and when they take place
