Yeah, I included them in the update sandboxWhat about the version of the Magalas from Frontiers? The ones that have a bunch of crystals growing out of them? I think I posted something about them earlier in the thread.

Awesome! Also side note, did that Evangelion Gore give literally any new abilities in the game its from or is it just like a reskinned regular Gore?
From what I’ve seen and heard in videos, it’s seemingly just a reskinned Gore while Evangelion Brachydios and Tigrex I believe possess a new rage mode.Awesome! Also side note, did that Evangelion Gore give literally any new abilities in the game its from or is it just like a reskinned regular Gore?
I see. Also Fulgar Anjanath was finally upgrade, thus my Thread is done. From what I’ve seen on videos and heard on videos, it’s seemingly just a reskinned Gore while Evangelion Brachydios and Tigrex I believe possess a new rage mode.
We have been saved from Bump limbo.I see. Also Fulgar Anjanath was finally upgrade, thus my Thread is done.
I wouldn’t have an issue with that given the other Monster Malzeno ties with is Scorned Magnamalo, a stronger variant than base. Both Velkhana and Ruiner seem to be notable opponents for the Iceborne World Hunter, Velkhana fighting them in multiple encounters, managing to knock them out once, while Ruiner was a tough enough fight that the Hunter visibly had to catch their breath afterward.Speaking of Malzeno, should it scale to Ruiner Nergigante? Velkhana is the only Elder Dragon who can successfully blast Ruiner off of itself in its Turf War and Malzeno basically ties with it in its Turf War while Primordial Malzeno outright overpowers the same ice blast it uses to blast off Ruiner.
Also this. This would be funny. On another note, I kind of want to add a key to Kulu-Ya-Ku for that big ass magic crystal version that hits like a damn nuke. How strong would that one be in terms of actual scaling? I don't remember if it had any statements about it's power during the quest or not, just that it got really big.
If ya wanna use FF14 scaling for it, it would be around 2-C. The Kulu is being directly powered by one of Hydaelyn's crystals which allow for characters such as the WoL to be as strong as they are. Also this. This would be funny.
Excuse the **** out of me?If ya wanna use FF14 scaling for it, it would be around 2-C. The Kulu is being directly powered by one of Hydaelyn's crystals which allow for characters such as the WoL to be as strong as they are.
Yea, I learned a ton about the scaling of FF14 when I sank 200 hrs into it just to kill the Rathalos there (who'd also be 2-C for needing a literal dozen WoL to take it down)Excuse the **** out of me?![]()
A Likely High 6-C or Low 6-B for fighting World Hunter? Forgot when we fight it, do you have to beat Xeno for that special assignment to be unlocked? Also this. This would be funny.
Yeah, you doA Likely High 6-C or Low 6-B for fighting World Hunter? Forgot when we fight it, do you have to beat Xeno for that special assignment to be unlocked?
Damn,very good stuff. Good job!
Ok, IMO Likely Low 6-B bird with blue rock is fine given it doesn’t affect anything.Yeah, you do
Velk is really weird with it's Turf war with Regular Magnamalo now imo.Ok, IMO Likely Low 6-B bird with blue rock is fine given it doesn’t affect anything.
Do you know why Velkhana is just High 6-C despite mentioning it knocking out the Iceborne Hunter, who’d be Low 6-B? I’d feel that and having fought said Hunter multiple times before finally being slain as well as the commander stating it’s too powerful a force even by Elder standards is overall more support than Ruiner who’s At least Low 6-B for just contending with the same Hunter.
Also the fact that even though Ruiner overpowers it physically, Velkhana can send it flying with its ice blast. The same ice blast that Malzeno ties against and Primordial Malzeno outright overpowers.Ok, IMO Likely Low 6-B bird with blue rock is fine given it doesn’t affect anything.

Question, how many monster(both those who have profiles and those who do not) would be affected by this. Also the fact that even though Ruiner overpowers it physically, Velkhana can send it flying with its ice blast. The same ice blast that Malzeno ties against and Primordial Malzeno outright overpowers.
Depends on how we’d decide to view it if accepted, should all this count as solid Low 6-B for Velkhana and Ruiner or would it be more appropriate to have them as at least High 6-C with an Up to Low 6-B?Question,how many monster(both those who have profiles and those who do not) would be affected by this.
There's also regular Magmamalo.I think the only partially contentious thing about Velkhana scaling is that it has Turf Wars with Rajang, Lunastra, Teostra, Kushala and Savage Deviljho who do decently well against it but Rajang is weird because it also has Turf Wars against Savage Deviljho and Ruiner Nergigante where it's shown to be able to box with them. Also Savage Deviljho is shown being able to briefly overpower Ruiner in its Turf War as well so if anything Savage and Velkhana need an upgrade to scale to Ruiner along with Malzeno, Primordial Malzeno, Scorned Magnamalo and Gaismagorm.
Regular Magnamalo is weird though because it also kind of gets boxed up by Base Zinogre and it technically loses its Turf Wars against Elder Dragons. There's also regular Magmamalo.
Wasn’t that Scorned?Regular Magnamalo is weird though because it also kind of gets boxed up by Base Zinogre
I don't think so?Wasn’t that Scorned?
Looking it up, all I see is the Scorned Magnamalo intro having it face Zinogre.I don't think so?
Is that the best possible solution? Velkhana and Ruiner at least have support for being this level outside of just being Master Rank Monsters, the former being stated to be too powerful even by Elder standards and fighting, even knocking out, the Post Xeno fight Hunter while Ruiner is a stronger variant from regular and had put up a tough enough fight that the Hunter had to catch their breath.Realistically the old idea of just having nearly every monster vary is probably the best you'd get to solve this, where Master Rank Elder Dragons in general are at this level rather than just Velkhana and Ruiner Nergigante
Regular Magna is super weird,i agree.Regular Magnamalo is weird though because it also kind of gets boxed up by Base Zinogre and it technically loses its Turf Wars against Elder Dragons.
They don't acknowledge the rank split that much in canon, outside of (I think?) Puki-Puki at the start of High Rank being noted as very tough, but evidently the gap isn't completely consistent species wide (And in general there's plenty to suggest some monsters can just punch way above their usual weight class, as has been a back and forth several times in this very thread)Is that the best possible solution? Velkhana and Ruiner at least have support for being this level outside of just being Master Rank Monsters, the former being stated to be too powerful even by Elder standards and fighting, even knocking out, the Post Xeno fight Hunter while Ruiner is a stronger variant from regular and had put up a tough enough fight that the Hunter had to catch their breath.
Do the likes of MR Teostra and Kushala have anything stating their stronger than their lower rank versions or are visibly a tougher fight than before for the Hunter?
In the case of that Puki-Puki and the other High Rank monsters in World, their explained to be stronger than their Low Rank versions due to having lived in the Elder’s Recess from what I recallPuki-Puki at the start of High Rank being noted as very tough
Dalamadur.Question: where does massively FTL+ Monster Hunter come from?
