Minor Superman (post-crisis) additions and my first profile

On another note, Superman does need air and a lung capacity, his blood just stays oxygenated for longer on one breath as shown in his Mongul Training.

That is probably fine, but you need to correct the URL, as you wrote it wrong:

I revised the Type 3 Sustenance and the BFR link.

What is your stance on Type 1 Sustenance?
  • Superman Vol 2 #152, January 2000
    • Mongul helps increase his lung capacity.

When I read it this morning, I interpreted it as if it actually happened. But looking at the third scan again (especially the last panel), I can see why you think its dubious.

But personally, I believe that it should be added since there is a power/justification already on his page. Unless that gets removed then not sure.

Maybe we could add it as a supporting feat for BFR? To me it seems way too dubious to stand on its own, but if it was just supporting other feats I guess it could stay, although by that point we might as well just post more blatant feats.

The first BFR feat that comes to my mind aside from this is when he blitzed Darkseid to the sun, and later the Source Wall in Superman/Batman #13 (though the latter was likely due to the motherbox he was given). I'm pretty sure punching Doomsday to the other side of the world in Action Comics #962 would also qualify as BFR. While it is Rebirth, at the time Superman was weaker than he was in Post-Crisis (Superman and Lois #1), so it should be useable.

I am not sure if that can be added to this profile since its from Post Flashpoint. But I will look around to see if he has any other bfr feats from PC era.

Wouldn't recommend that. It's just something shown in the "encyclopedia Universal", a book by Mxy that shows experiences that aren't real, so I find using it as a feat dubious. I haven't read the comic in like a year so I might be missing something, but from what I recall this is the full context.

If it was just an imaginary story by Mister Mxyzptlk, the feat should be removed, yes.

However, just punching or flying some other character away from the battlefield seems a far too easy way to gain BFR, as it would grant the ability to anybody with spaceflight or considerable superhuman strength.

Alright, I see. Though the BFR page does say knocking someone into space does qualify, so while the Doomsday example isn't usable, maybe the Darkseid one is? If not then we can just remove BFR as an ability and BFR users as a category on his page, as the only other BFR feats I can think of require equipment like the Phantom Zone projector, which isn't listed for his standard equipment.

So is it fine if we remove BFR from his page then?

Yes, but he can't live indefinitely without oxygen in his normal state.

Ironically, he's the image of the Self-Sustenance Type 1 Page.
I've seen characters with type 1 self-sustenance who has hours worth of breath, But two wrongs don't make a right.

Well, I know for a fact that SCP-076 has hours worth of breath and he doesn't have type 1 self-sustenance, but Spec has quote "Very Limited Self-Sustenance" with 5 minutes worth of breath during an attack

Well, I think that Superman can currently be without oxygen for extremely extended periods of time. I am not sure about his post-Crisis continuity limits though.
